The Combat Jack Show Thread

Charlamagne def knew what he was doing. I'm still all for the uplifting and promoting of black and brown women in media and building their platforms and there are definitely other ways to promote/bring awareness to something but he chose that way because he knew it would build a buzz.

I hope that while the light is on, the women who do have platforms start promoting and pushing hard to promote their stuff. I swear I've seen more posts bashin dude for what he said than people challenging his statement w/ proof.

Black Lives Matter isn't proof enough?

When u consider the consistency of the opposition, I don't think it's enough. Maybe I'm not tapped in but I would like more consistency and presence of movements like that. They also need to create their own narrative and continue to push it. I still feel like BLM is not structured

Of course I stand by the statement BLM but the fact that it is founded by George Soros and every time something happens with a black person in the news they try to link them to BLM. Now they're tryna put that terrorist group label on it lol. It's almost like it's turned into a code word for white people to put all of us under this umbrella. It's not a grass roots organization. I still don't know what BLM has really done. The Panthers were out here cleaning up communities, feeding people, educating, forcing the government to change laws cuz they were so sharp.

I just look at BLM kinda funny

Same here. IMO it's an effort by the media and racist to villainize all of us. Thus the police shooting us as being not that bad. A black person does something and it gets blamed on BLM. Dylan Roof is portrayed as an individual even though he was influenced by neo nazis and the KKK. Is the Alt Right going to be lumped with him?

What happen to that news story a couple of weeks ago where supposedly cops in four states were set up at the same time. Yet, you only saw the black guy who shot the cops because of visitation and problems with his ex. Where were these other shootings? Because I notice that when a black guy shoots a cop it's far bigger news.

:lol Elliot snitching that Nore and them were smoking weed in CBS

The Lox one is cool. He also has Mega, Statik and Termanology up there for a bit. It's weird they don't really realize the terms of their release. It seem they only know the money. How much can you do with a week and a half notice for a album release?

He's interviewing TI, Rocky and French, that is a weird collective.

I haven't listened to Black Thought and Tax yet, Tax is a Black Thought fan so that one might be ok.

Would ya'll listen to Jack Thriller and Tahiry or Fat Joe's podcast?

Mero gotta tell some more 'getting money' stories :lol

"Getting money with The Kid Mero" segment

I saw a Desus and Mero commercial this morning on ESPN. It's nice Vice is trying to promote them.

Looks like we might be getting Tribe and Busta on Drink Champs. Probably loading up for the holidays.

We might gotta poke Mike. [emoji]128514[/emoji]

They told the Tyson/Eve story before, but not in this much detail, **** is hilarious.

Them huddling on who's going to poke him was hilarious. Volunteering someone to get knocked out :lol

Anyone know how the visual art is doing on Vice number-wise?

Been curious how their fan base would translate on the show's numbers.

They have a good discussion on the year in rap on It's The Real. It's essentially the MTV show.

Heard it this morning on the way to work. ITR gotta be one of my top three favorites to listen to.
I'm glad Combat didn't dominate the convo. Surprisingly, there was also a decent balance in opinions without any out of line arguing.

EDIT: The LOX on Combat. They're my favorite rap group so if he dropped the ball on this interview, I might feel a way.

EDIT2: Dope convo.

Cool, I'll listen to the Tax one then.

He's probably tired because they're doing the interview circuit like crazy.
