** The Diadora Thread ** - Concepts "Rat Pack" N9000

those grey s8000s might just have to do as a ghetto patta italia if i can't find one soon.  how do s8000s fit compared to NBs or Asics GLIII/GLV?

The S8000's look nice, but I'm 100% sure they will go on sale for those that want em.
Absolutely they will. They are a GR and NON Hyped so for us who been around, we already know what the deal is.

Will be like a New Balance 997. Come out high and in a few weeks, be regular priced.

I'd say you should go down .5 from your true size for s8000.

I only own one pair (espresso ristretto) but they are a size 9 (same as N9000 size).

Compared to asics I wear a 9.5 in both GL3/GL5 and go .5 down from that.

TTS is the most pointless basis of comparison.  About half the people on here consider their GL3/5 size TTS and the other half consider it .5 up from TTS.  Not bashing you, just saying it's confusing when people just say "TTS".

I'm hoping someone can help out a Diadora noob. The N9000 ITA pack that came out recently really caught my attention. Not sure why, I've never paid much attention, but I really like the blue/tibetan red colorway. I almost purchased both of them from Slam Jam socialism last week, but decided to wait because I thought I read something of a wider/US release at a later time. Does anyone know if that's the case?

I see Feature has one of the colorways, but not both: http://www.featuresneakerboutique.com/products/diadora-n9000-ita-silver-lake-blue-tibetan-red

I don't follow Diadora at all, but is there a chance these will get marked down at some point? $200 is probably a little more than I want to spend. Seems like most sites that have them still have a full size run. Are there places I should be looking for the best prices?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have no particulars but I expect some US retailers will get this release. Packer and Concepts come to mind. Also in my experience these are destined to be marked down and relatively soon. Keep an eye on this thread we are pretty good at posting the Diadora deals. I personally wouldn't jump on this for anything more than $150 shipped. But that is just an opinion.

Just wanted to add the Made in Italy quality is legit and on discount these offer great value.

^Thank you! That's good info, very helpful. I'll keep an eye on those sites, and of course this thread. $150 is more the range I was thinking, so hopefully a 25% mark down isn't unrealistic. Slam Jam Socialism has them for $153 right now I guess, but after shipping and customs fees, I'm probably looking at $200 anyway.

Thanks again.

I find it confusing that people don't know what their true size is.
Also if people go .5 up from their true size for a gl3/5 then they still know their true size is, no?

Not really.  I wear 9 and 9.5 in so many different shoes, sometimes the same model depending on how it was made.  Which one is my true size?  Neither, I guess.

According to the Brannock device my TTS is 11.5 but the only stuff I am comfortable wearing an 11.5 in is stuff that generally runs "a half size big" like N9000, 998, 997, Etc. So a majority of my stuff is 12 which I would consider my adopted TTS and go to size. I'm not sure if that's how it works for most people or if im just a bit different. It's so ******* confusing. Wouldn't it be nice if all these companies shoes ran the same lol

I always assumed people used their Brannock measurement as TTS, is that what y'all go by?

Well one of them has to be your true size.

And your different pairs are either going up or down from that size.

I brought this up in the NMD thread a few days ago but, I think a lot of the confusion on sizing comes from the different conversions across brands. For example:

Adidas = US11.5 = EURO 46 = UK11

Nike = US12 = EURO 46 = UK11

Asics (not even consistency across models here, but on GL-III for example) = US12 = EURO 45.5 = UK11

Diadora = US11.5 = EURO 45.5 = UK11

I am usually good if i can get UK11 in whichever one, but as you can see, that doesn't equate to the same US size.

Maybe, but all I'm saying (ranting) is that I wish people would reply more like you did with a basis of comparison where they list how a shoe sizing compares to what they wear in other models rather than simply saying "TTS".
