****The Everything LaVar Ball Thread****

A ton of 5 star prospects never even get close to touching the NBA. Especially big PGs.

Of course. That goes without saying. And it happens for a myriad of reasons. But looking back at he ESPN recruiting rankings over the last 10 years....that pedigree of being a top 10 recruit nationally gets you a lot of looks.

Hell, Josiah Turner and Chris Smith (Colorado) were still getting some opportunities they probably shouldn’t have. And those guys were HEAD CASES :lol.

" The last time Tina seen them play was....a year ago. They was together before she had a little incident. And now on the way over here, I told her 'ayyy we just put everything on pause, and we right back where we was at. The boys, TOGETHER, playing' "

This puts a smile on my face

I mean no matter what, scouts aren't stupid (although a lot of Euro prospects get drafted high and never pan out. It does feel most of them are in elite tier Euro leagues. Not sure what type of skill level they are up against now). They may never know how good these guys are until draft day. Odds are, they won't get drafted. Then it's NBA summer league where 20 man rosters have maybe 8 spots go to preseason, then from there, two make the cut. So many skilled college players never make the pros.

Melo was on the cusp of playing in sold out gyms in CA with a few random top 10 high school teams coming to town for big time ESPN coverage. The gyms here do look sold out for the time being. I can't call lavar stupid just yet. Very untraditional route. He wants his family to get paid before no one no longer cares. Makes sense. But is your end game the nba (one son's already there), or to case out these next 2.5 years (after realizing his own son's are overrated).

The traditionalist in me says lavar took away Melos childhood for one of his own garage schemes. A high school rock star then onto UCLA can never be granted back to him
