i mean, if his point is that we can't open up the pass by always passing, then i agree. you have to have balance to keep the defense honest. idk if we'd be better off even if we resigned Jacobs, but we definitely have the worst RB room in the league and our blocking scheme is ***.

This isn’t the first time that a questionable spot wasn’t followed up with at least a TO to setup up a better play. Instead, rush to run in up the middle….and of course stuffed.

AOC balled out today. Sucks that what presumably was an error by a rookie impromptu center, completely changes the narrative. Thought he looked great executing the 2 minute drill with the game on the line too.
Dude went into Arrowhead and with a healing bone in his throwing hand, on a short week, with his 4th OC in less than a season's worth of career games, and threw for 340 - no interceptions.
Out gained the Chief's by over 100 yards. 434 total - the Raiders haven't done that in years.
ST unit missed 3 field goals, it's wild to me that people watched that game and said the Raiders had no business being in the game.
Also pretty obvious to me that there's an NFL QB there in AOC. Doesn't mean we shouldn't go all in drafting an elite young talent at the position.
Knowing our luck, AOC is gonna continue to look better and better and play us out of a top 5 pick down stretch, but **** it I'm still rooting for that young man.
I'll never being able to trust AP as a head coach knowing that all the film, all the practice and games reps watched, he still came out the other side of camp saying Gardner Minshew gave this ball club the best chance of winning.

I wondered the same thing as to why Minshew was starter when AOC looked better during the preseason games.
Like I’ve said before, AP looks overwhelmed and miserable. He probably wants the season to end yesterday.

I do believe the OLine is performing better. It took us like 10 or 11 weeks or whatever it's been, but we finally found the OLine starting 5. I think that's partly why AOC looked decent yesterday.
Sincere McCormick was lookin good yesterday too. idk if he can be an every down back, but **** it...what do we have to lose at this point. McCormick looks like a Lite version of Josh Jacobs.

I’d have to agree. I think we’re more likely to roll with AP for another season than Ben Johnson coming over.

In addition to him probably not even wanting to come here - its no guarantee the big name OC will translate to a good HC.

Kliff would be dumb to leave WAS this soon. i know the temptation is there in CHI with Caleb, but he should just stick to being an OC.
speaking of coordinators, Graham did a good job scheming last Friday. he's another one that should remain a coordinator. wouldnt mind keeping him past this season tbh. we need continuity somewhere.
