nike basketball yearly sales now...north of $27 billion

theres not even an opinion on this. to say the XII or any other lebron shoe flopped is just flat out wrong.

The 2002 sneaker market and 2014 sneaker market are vastly different

Back then the main signature athlete was Vince Carter...2014 Nike Basketball has Kobe, KD and Lebron and they pump out exponentially more colorways and also offer customization

Not to mention completely higher price points on each of those 10 colors or so not including the Elite series..

Do you guys actually stars such as sales figures to back up these claims of this sit model flopping?

This makes me think that this is also one of the reasons they aren't retroing Lebrons.. The earlier models had more expensive materials.

To be fair, most of the XI and XIIs simply aren't worth the $200 MSRP. The materials and designs don't justify the cost, especially on the Elites. I say this as a fan of both models and I currently own 6 pairs of XIs and 3 pairs of XIIs, NONE of which I paid retail or above for.

IDC idc idc nobody can tell me any of the sigs this time around are flourishing. Kyrie might be the only one because there is no expectation. I still see base model kobes sitting around, only kds that sold were the limited joonts and I swear its like the lebron xii aren't anywhere to be found. The eye test does wonders and from 8-10 this dude shoes were everywhere. I seen the 11s pretty often also but not as much as the others. Unless Nike made wayyyy more than the other models these are sitting on shelves. I remember the regular x colorways were gone within days of release. I was feeling the what if xii but didn't have the cash at the time and figured like these aren't gonna be here in 2 weeks when I get the cash. Months later they still sitting there on a discount, **** imma try to wait for a cheaper price. Same with the red low joints. I haven't seen a pair of elites that wasn't on the shelf.

18 colorways of the Lebron XII have released

The only ones that arent sitting on shelves everywhere are the Black History Months and you probably can still find those somewhere

jordan retro is not a part of nike basketball silly guy

this info is easy to obtain. matter of fact, all you have to do is watch a movie (sole man on 30 for 30)

i didnt say how much the lebron line accounted for...i stated NIKE BASKETBALL SALES YEARLY (total) the year before lebron arrived and what it is now.

meaning nike basketball up to that point as a division had made 11 billion dollars. since then, in a little more than 10 years time, nike basketball has made 16billion. NOT ANNUALLY, BUT IN TOTAL.

anyone that thinks jordan brand is a division of nike basketball isnt qualified to be in this conversation

I think that there hasn't been a retro of LeBron's kicks because there really isn't a big demand among NON sneaker aficionados.

If they do make them, expect a hefty price increase. It has absolutely nothing to do with the expense of materials.

I watched vid on how the AF1 became popular, and it spoke to how Nike didn't even want to retro those after the first run. However, street cats made the shoe popular, and certain stores on the east coast had to make a promise to Nike of sorts, to buy at least a certain amount in order for it to be worthwhile to even make them.
