The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- Cannonier, Imavov, Reyes, Rosas on NOW

Don't tell me Nike isn't on the list of approved ufc fighter sponsors.

Weird, I was just at Nike here in Vegas and they had a new shirt for Anderson.

Just saw another Helwani interview with Dana and although he was being vague, I'm getting the idea that Nike isn't on the list of approved sponsors anymore.

Nike probably wasn't down to pay dat Zuffa tax

Yep. I also think Zuffa trying to get everyone on that UFC brand shirt. You don't see Tapout as much as you use too.

I am shocked at how excited I am to watch the women fight. Even though Tate doesn't at all deserve this title shot, I can't to watch this grudge match. I usually don't really care about the women's division. They go at it though, like it's their last fight. Have to respect it.

why are ronda and tate wearing boots to the weight ins, why dont they just come in sandals.
tate i still love you tho

As much as I would like to see miesha win, she's prob gonna get her arm broke

I caught countdown yesterday and it made me even more sympathetic for miesha

I just want Meisha to land a few bombs on ronda's face. That's all I ask for since her chances of winning are slim. Hit her in the nose and eye socket a few times for me.

Yeah Miesha is gonna get her **** snapped. Shame though, she is a muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch more likable person than Ronda.

Weidman got this. I expect his boxing to be crisp enough for him to find openings to change levels and bring this fight to the floor where I expect the majority of this fight to take place.

Expect a lot of ground and pound. Silva will be trying to work from his back where Weidman will catch some nasty elbows in return. Weidman will have to be mindful of Silva's submissions but if he doesn't get overzealous I expect him to grind it out en route to a unanimous decision victory.

Silva has been great but stylistically Weidman has his number. I expect him to beat Belfort as well......

Machida though........that's another story.

If spider keeps.his hands up, he'll be taken down religiously.

Same spider as always. Chris shojld dominate on the ground again.

I'm expecting Silva to take the lead when standing up, less pot shotting and more combos & levels. Silvahas to srrike early or that ground game will do him in late

Tate didn't do a bad job the first fight. She just got a little too aggressive and reckless.

She'll probably lose again but she has a chance if she's patient with it and can stop those judo throws Rhonda be throwing. Rousey ain't got hands so if it stays standing she'll lose but she won't let that happen.

Surprised Tate lasted as long as she did in the first fight. Her arm was getting bent pretty bad but she kept trying to get out.

Miesha took Ronda's back in the first fight, if I recall correctly.

Ronda is an unlikeable champ, but her judo and BJJ are currently untouchable. Plus her boxing is improving, getting crisper.

Jessica Eye called out Alexis Davis. Eye is the one I can see presenting a new challenge to Ronda after this defense. Her or a Kaufman rematch. Gritty veteran, hits hard.

Predictions: Anderson, Ronda, Diamond, Miller.

I like Poirier as a future title contender at 145. KZ and Cub losses are learning experiences.

Peralta, Voelker, Bahadurzada, Siver, Tibau, Leben, Poirier, Miller, Barnett, Rousey and Silva book it!

Also taking Barnett by finish. Sub (or even KO).

Hall, Tibau, Siyar KO, Gamburyan.

Finally made some picks. Heading to my cousin's house for the fights.

Silva
Ronda
Barnett by sub
Miller
Diamond
Hall by decapitation.

I want both belts to change hands and i want to Uriah and MJ to put on stand up clinics.

Watching the highlights of the first fight on fox sports 1. anderson just ate those punches weidman landed on him against the cage. Plus silva hit him with those nice straight rights. That fool should've just ended the fight right there.

seent that too.. The punch that knocked him out looked the weakest :lol

But gotta give weidman credit where it's due he took advantage of the Anderson buffoonery.. I still don't believe he's the champ but if he does it again tonight like a lot are expecting him too surprisingly then he deserves it.

The speed difference in striking is still pretty big. weidman did a good job of getting the takedowns in the first round but got his takedown stuffed in the second. If silva showboats and clowns, he loses. If he doesn't, he'll win.

That's what I have been saying since July!

So weird.
