The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- Cannonier, Imavov, Reyes, Rosas on NOW

Injuries and no fights vs. two fights out of the division and no plans to return.

In other funny news, doesn't seem the UFC is feeling Woodley.

The UFC promoting their fighters to the public ladies and gentlemen, a new champ at that. These dudes are either pure imbeciles or they're just purposely clowning him. Either way they're trash. Good lord

Eddie should not sign that contract against Khabib. It's all about the money fight right now.. What would the UFC do? They need a big main event for 205, and with tickets going on sale next week, he might actually be able to call his shot.

why would conor want to fight eddie, tho? if i was conor and my focus was $$$, i would want nate again. the numbers speak for themselves. nate and conor have established themselves to the casual fan. nate vs conor 3 would prolly exceed the 2nd fight.

Conor beating Eddie while getting another huge number at 205

Conor/Nate for the 155 crown at UFC 209 would break every UFC number ever :smokin

Even if Conor loses, you still have the Disz trilogy to fall back on

Wins for all parties involved.

Mr cash flow is on point

He could want that "two division champ" label

He could also view the msg card as a huge money maker, maybe not what Diaz would do, but money on its own. It's a historical event add to it if he keeps his belt has the chance to get a second

A rare occasion I agree with you, but a decent plan. I still believe he should defend his actual title first. Jose rematch at 205, then the attempt for the lightweight, and finish the trilogy.

Outside of putting to Josie to sleep in 13 seconds, my only gripe and I'm Conor's handlers feel the same about this, he would have spent the last 2 years of his career in the midst of battles with just 2 guys.

I want to see a fresh matchup for McGregor. I'm under the impression that no matter what happens in his next fight, the 3rd matchup with Nate is definitely the follow up.

Now if we do Conor/Aldo 2 followed up by Conor/Diaz 3, that's just too much overkill.

Then imagine if Josie pulls off a miracle and upsets the Champ then you have Conor/Josie 3 in play. It's exhausting mentally thinking about it.

^ agreed.

I want to see mcgregor fight other people. Like you said, he's only fought Diaz since winning his FW belt. Fighters have such a short time in the sport, I hate to see it wasted fighting the same people over and over. There are tons of fresh matchups for him.

Agreed with new opponents even though I really really think the Ko 13 seconds line is getting really really old and at this point sounds fanboyish

Let's see him get Alvarez cowboy Ferguson khabib at least a few of them

I'd rather see him fight somebody else as well, but Aldo has the interim belt so he needs to either defend/unify or vacate and move on.

In the long run, the loss to Nate actually helped his career.

The comeback story>>>>

Especially when you see someone like Ronda fall off the face of the planet after a loss

In just to see Edmond corner another fight. Observing his actions and listening to his sound bytes> the actual fight

Saw on sherdog Edmond said he can beat Aldo in a fight

Dana is throwing his nuts around. Apparently Alvarez is off the 205 card. Now the match versus Khabib is tentaively scheduled for 206.

"McGregor is dealing with a leg injury according to "UFC Tonight" and it's not likely he will be ready to fight by November, but sources told FOX Sports that the Irishman was ready to accept a fight at UFC 205 but he never received an official offer."

So what can they possibly book as main event to make 205 epic? Can't go to Brock, Jones, and won't budge for Conor.
