Nah, you just have to win more rounds. Scoring should work the same no matter if one of them has the belt or not.

It was a very difficult fight to judge however I do think bisping did enough in 3-5 to win.. haven't checked the stats.. anyway any of the next 4 contenders should take the belt if they come in with a solid game plan

rd2 was a tossup. bisping was in control and outpointing hendo. then again, judges score it differently. do you reward the rd to the guy with one big punch that knocked down his opponent or the guy who was pretty much scoring pts for the first 4m of the rd?

I was wondering if bisping would be available to avoid Dan's big punches but he couldn't. This fight he was able to survive though. I thought Dan was going to put him to sleep after he got those 2 knockdowns.

I understand what you're saying and I agree. I also understand how scoring works. My point was that in those close rounds, judges tend to give the advantage to the champion. Meaning the challenger, typically, has to go above and beyond in order to win a decision in a championship bout.

i know bisping only has one good eye, but man he kept circling to his left playing right into the h bomb.. same thing happened in first fight. Younger hendo would have finished him.. I couldn't call that fight and thought that last take down might have allowed hendo the edge but i can see how bisping did enough points wise. That belt just waiting for Weidman or rockhold..

mike knows he lost that fight. got caught with that exact same OG h-bomb TWICE, coulda been stopped in the first.

It was the most low IQ thing I've ever seen. You know the only thing Hendo has is that inside leg kick to an overhand right, how do you continue to circle into his wheelhouse?

I give Bisping his due for finishing Rockhold but other than that I have never been impressed with him. He's a funny guy though, I like his analysis. He'll lose his belt next fight

but respek to him for winning the title when his number was called. sucks that he was taking Ls from guys that were using performance enhancers during his prime yrs
