This is one of the weirdest fights I’ve seen

Cub is clearly the more crisp striker and I’d give him the decision but somehow someway Kron made it a very close fight

Cub did his job as a gatekeeper

You may be on to something with that theory but honestly a lot of ranked fighters would have went down with those body shots. Kron was a human sponge out there

Also Cub is 35 going on 36 in a month and has many miles on him, he's not really fighting for a belt at this point

she got outclassed and bloody. That Winklejohn style wasn’t going to work on JJ. That camp is such a far cry from when Greg Jackson was involved. Just a MMA factory now.

Kron, like other fighters, have to develop that plan B and plan C. He trains with the Diaz Bro’s. His boxing should be crisp and volume metric. And if he’s not going to learn/develop striking like Tonnen then learn better grappling like Maia.

You can keep adding to that list. Kassem on last weeks card is another great example. She’s decent when you look past the Helwaniesque schnoz, but she looked like an amateur with maybe 6 months of training. And she made it on the main card.

One of the most entertaining fighters in WMMA picked up a win in Rizin today though. Seo Hee Ham brutalized Kid Yamamoto’s sister standing and with soccer kicks. She does belong at 105 but the UFC cut her after robbing her of a few wins with garbage decisions.
