You’re going to say I like to argue. But I think RDA getting hurt helped Conor, UFC and Nate Diaz in the long run.

UFC got to run back McGregor/Diaz for another huge PPV.

Nate Diaz enjoyed his two highest pay days. Dude was getting paid peanuts. It also made him a bigger star.

Oh no, I 100% agree with this and was what I was alluding to. Conor's star may not have ever gotten as bright as it was without Nate. Of course Conor would have still been a huge star but RDA being such a boring personality wouldn't have made for iconic banter like Nate vs Conor did... not to mention RDA realistically could have beaten him

Without Conor's star getting as bright as it did, Dana and the Brothers never sell their Wolf Ticket to the new owners. They may have never gotten the ESPN/Disney deal. So many other dominos... Conor really elevated The UFC and the sport in general thanks in part to Nate

Thinking about it more, Burns was definitely a much tougher matchup for Usman on paper than Jorge

As much as Usman had to worry about Burns' power, he also had to worry about getting subbed. Takedowns would low-key be dangerous against Burns

We never got to see Jorge go up against Askren's wrestling either which would have been really interesting

Sounds about right. Maybe even Edwards/Wonderboy if Woodleys taking time off. If Masvidal pulls off the win he for sure going for the money fight and getting Conor out his "retirement."

Glad the fight is happening, but it's kind of annoying how Masvidal has to take a title fight on 6 days notice in order to get paid.

If he goes in there and takes out Usman, he should pull a CM Punk in 2011 and just leave w/ the title.

I didn't want to say it out loud but 100% Conor has to be on Jorge mind if he wins.

I believe Jorge will get crushed regaurdless of my personal feelings but I would not be upset if he found a way to stagger Usman with the hands and go for the finish

Wow I can't believe the fight is actually happening (don't want to jinx it lol). Masvidal will have his hands full as Usman's pressure is relentless and I'd be shocked if he's not able to take Jorge down. When Jorge fought Maia he spent much of the bout defending from getting subbed. Still amped for the matchup and this card overall.
