The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- Cannonier, Imavov, Reyes, Rosas on NOW

I'm thinking the same unfortunately. Blessed has taken too much damage.

Indeed. Hence the no sparring approach to this camp. He can't risk "free" damage at this point of his career.

No sparring and longer breaks between fights gives Maxs chin and body the rest it needs. He didn't start doing it til the 2nd Volk fight and he looked better than ever then.

As long as Max doesnt make it a pocket fight and mix in his kicks he'll take the UD or even late stoppage. Fight might look similar to Moicano/Kattar. Kattar on his back foot throughout getting touched tf up.

So I'm guessing he ain't beat "socialism" yet.. Man's had all the juice just a year ago and this the hill he wants to end it on. From must watch fighter, to tune out conspirator. Life comes at you fast.
It's crazy how he went from easiest guy to root for to scum of the Earth/hope he brutally loses every fight and other stuff I won't say on here

And they say “politics” don’t matter in the fight game. You make your public image this, you deserve to die on that hill.
I've said this repeatedly but seriously this isn't even about politics. Like, Jon has done some pretty ****** things and a lot of fighters and athletes in general have, but this wave Jorge is on a completely different animal

It’s a humanity thing - I will not back/cheer anyone who wants anything to do with that man. It’s fine having differing opinions but he takes this to another level. Sad.

I have this same feeling about players in other sports who have done awful things.

For me personally I try not to judge too harshly because who am I to do that. However if the person has atoned for it in some way, depending on the transgression, well then yeah I mean what more could someone want

Now with Jorge being this famous and having this platform to spread this cancer... I mean it's inexcusable and I view it like a crime basically

Wow I mean we already knew Jorge was big into the MAGA stuff in 2020 but this ish makes it even harder to just cheer for him as a fighter and ignore the bs he's on outside the cage.

I’d love Khabib to go 30-0. I just don’t think Conor is the right opponent. GSP should be that last challenge for Khabib.

Sadly, I agree. No one wants to see Khabib take Conor to the ground and keep him there AGAIN. GSP has a legit chance to give Khabib that first Loss.

In Conor’s defense, he did manage to last three rounds and went into the fourth where he got peaced bad. For not being a wrestler/grappler, he surprisingly did well. Khabib is just different. GSP is a very good grappler so that’s part of the reason I’d like to see it. Plus George got that crazy jab. I’m sure he’s declined a bit due to his age but other than Usman or Colby at a catch weight. Not interested.

Umar Nurmagomedov, Khabib's cousin is going to finally make his UFC debut on the McGregor card

Gotta wonder if any shenanigans will take place, especially since Khabib will probably be there if not in Umar's corner

Yet another 135 prospect... division is crazy

Yes you are right about Conor lasting a while, but man, he was absolutely worked and destroyed on the ground. It wasn’t even entertaining.

All these early start times are a little crazy lol. I'll be at work for the Magny v Chisea card, but I'll just watch on the laptop

Saturday: Holloway v Kattar, the prelims begin at 9 AM Pacific time
Wednesday: Magny v Chisea, the prelims begin at 6 AM Pacific time
Saturday: McGregor v Poirier, ? assume it'll also begin at 9 AM

Seeing Conor get beat tf down was very entertaining. Then the overhand right that knocked him down :wow:

257 is normal start time, 10pm main EST.

Besides Aljo, Khabib makes everyone look bad. Yeah, Dustin had a moment of shine but it ended the same. Justin, let’s not talk about it.

I know we never got it but I just don’t see how Tony could’ve done anything to Khabib. All that BJJ and he’ll slice him with elbows from beneath.

Interesting they're going to have the Conor card at regular time for America. Especially since they will have fans in attendance

Apparently the tickets sold out instantly anyway lol

GSP last fought in 2017. Don't get me wrong I think GSP is one of the greatest fighters I've ever seen but ring rust and father time is real. The GSP of 2017 is no longer. I would love to see GSP vs Khabib but it's not going to I've up to the hype imo

This is a weird thing to say about GSP considering that he took 4 years off, came back and finished the champion in a weight that he never fought @ before.
