Chimaev looks like he’s stronger than Nate. Obviously the Diaz Bros have great boxing. But it’s just too risky. That’s a different type of grappling. If he lost to Usman from wrestling…he’d have a tougher time from Chimaev.

He has to take the fight. If he thinks sitting out and waiting is gonna get him a title shot he’s wrong if chimaev ends up stepping in to his spot and fights another top contender.

How many ppl passed up Colby when he fought Woodley on a 3 fight skid as his one fight in 24 months while waiting on the title. The goalposts will always be moved for Leon. Holding the line is the only play

To be fair, Usman vs Colby 1 was an instant classic and one of the best fights in years, the UFC knew the rematch would likely sell.
I like Leon, but he doesn't finish fights and he nearly got stopped by a completely washed Nate Diaz his last time out. A win over Jorge could've definitely helped solidify his case.
That said, Luque and Khamzat are the only other somewhat reasonable options, but Khamzat doesn't really deserve it just yet and Leon has a win over Luque.
So I agree with Ariel, Usman vs Leon, Jorge vs Colby, and hopefully Khamzat vs Luque or Burns

I think Colby moves the needle and Dana sees $$$ with him. Leon not so much.

Lets not forget Leon had Nate litterally turning and running for 20 min. (To the point there should have been deductions) He got bored and let his gaurd down. Winning 10 seconds of a fight where your opponent never even falls means nothing.
