The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- Cannonier, Imavov, Reyes, Rosas on NOW

Was hyped for that Canada card until they said nunes/Peña 3.

Can’t believe aspen ladd really lost tonight smh. Ufc fighters are cursed jumping ship to the pfl

The turn on izzy has been completed

Folks real upset with him wearing a dog collar and having weird Ronda rousey ish energy. Tired of his attempted trolling of Alex

Narratives can change so quickly. For now the narrative is that izzy just can’t beat alex

Yet if izzy can pull off the win- you could just as easily flip the narrative that izzy won the first kickboxing match- was dominating the rematch and would have ko’d Alex if not for quick ref standing 8 count. Then izzy was just 2 minutes away from getting a decision win in their first mma match as well as had him almost out if not for the first round end to save Alex

Izzy will have them all turn right back when he actually comes forward and finishes Alex in a short war tonight.

.... if he does the same **** and fights timid, I'm ******* turning on my guy too man :smh:

Just about every analyst (Heck, Thomas, Meshew, Bronstetter) I listen to said the same thing I did: Izzy cannot be on his backfoot as much as he was in the first MMA fight. He has to force more clinching (Bruno Silva I believe was able to do this) and push the offense more, not just be content with point fighting

Alex is a Terminator and gaining more and more confidence. I don't automatically give guys like Vetorri and Whittaker an edge like a lot of other people seem to give in a matchup with Alex. So easier said than done

Izzy can do this. He's really gotten the better of Alex in most of all of the minutes they've ever fought

If Izzy can fight like the first Whittaker/costa fight he’ll get the finish inside 3. If he try’s to weave away from Alex punches again with his back to the fence he’s getting finished again.

Big fan of Izzy but he has more riding on this fight then any other fight I can think of. He’s truly fighting his own real life boogeyman and would have to live with the rest of his life knowing he went 0-4 against him (especially after being so close multiple times).

Yeah I don't believe the narrative that anyone who can wrestle could just beat Alex. The man just hits different and has amazing balance. Never in a bad position while throwing.

I know Sean had his chin up, but dudes known for being durable and having sparring wars with Chimaev and other guys. Man's went down off the first left hook he tasted.
