There is zero doubt in my mind that volk is the one athlete who stays readyThe one thing Volk has going is that he's a true athlete. He stays in shape year round and his injury wasn't something that would keep him from training.
“It’s not a big deal. I’ll be back ASAP,” Volkanovski said at the UFC 290 post-fight press conference. “It will be a quick one. I just need to get something sorted, but I’ll be training. I broke my hand last International Fight Week, and you’ll see me ready to fight in Abu Dhabi to fight Islam or Charles Oliveira. This ain’t a broken bone. We’ll be alright. I’ll be training. I want to be active.”
I'm sure him and his team wouldn't have taken the fight if they thought he was coming in at a real disadvantage. Even though there's a huge difference in fighting Charles and Alex, its still a tougher task for Alex.
I just hope they don't end up making a Topuria/Holloway interim for January. My guy deserves to fight for the undisputed. Maybe they throw O’Malley a bunch of bread to headline Toronto against Chito.

Yes sir that’s probably what it was- chimaev has fought at 170 recently in the ufc. He has fought however at 185 a number of times in his mma career including in the ufcYeah I don't know why I was looking at WW. Did Khamzat fight at WW before?
I feel like someone at MW could jump in if the Costa bout gets scrapped.
Sign me up for Usman-Chimaev, low risk/high reward fight for Usman and if he even makes the fight competitive there are lots of good future matchups for him at MW.
It is a huge risk for usman but you have to figure- he’s about to retire. He’s coming off two lossesThat's not a low risk fight for Kamaru.
Even on a weeks notice, If he gets smoked it will leave him in limbo.
