I could see Cerrone. UFC wants him to sit out and wait for the title fight but he keeps saying he wants to fight.

What do you think the UFC should do if Mendes beats Conor convincingly? I don't really want to see Mendes vs Aldo III. How crazy would it be if they put Aldo to the side and have Mendes fight Edgar for the interim belt, and then right after the fight announce Conor vs Aldo and argue that "this is the fight the fans want to see, this is the fight that was supposed to happen, etc", and the winner of each fight will unify the belt.
I'm not really excited for Aldo v. Mendes 3 either.
But that is the risk the UFC took when they didn't give Frankie the shot.
All these what ifs could have been avoided with better match making. And I definitely don't think it is fair to Aldo to have the 145 championship be settled in a 4 man tournament.
So it can appear like both belts hold equal prestige and their is some question over who the champ is.
I get it who be better for business, but a Aldo v. Conor for one tittle, and Mendes v. Edgar for another tittle would be straight up disrespectful too Aldo. (Which would probably be the setups with the had a 4 man tourney)
Have Aldo fight the Interim champ and have a #1 contender match on the same card. There is precedent for that.
Promotion 101. Everyone knew Siver was going to be a can to help Connor look good and legitimize his claims to a title shot.If I remember right, listen to Rogan and Goldberg during the fight. They made it seem like McGregor stuffing Siver's takedowns was such a great thing. It felt like a lot of it was done to help quell some of the talk about McGregor not facing a wrestler.
Agreed with everything you just posted here. I think Mendes is going to win and maybe KO/TKO conorI'm not really excited for Aldo v. Mendes 3 either.

Should be a good fight but I think Rory will edge it out. I gotta catch up on the UFC 189 count down episode.if mgregor looses, I dont think he will stay at 145 for long
who yall got against robbie x rory tho???
I think Rory in a close one. Lawler is a deserving champ and he's rounded out his game nicelyif mgregor looses, I dont think he will stay at 145 for long

I do think Rory will have no troubles taking him down. Rory went through this weird phase where he was fighting not to lose. He got over that and has been blasting dudes lately
