The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- Cannonier, Imavov, Reyes, Rosas on NOW

Turki is pushing the boundaries of boxing.

He low key wants to find out who the baddest man on the planet is too in MMA.
This also leads me to believe Turki might have a hand (see bag) in getting the Aspinall-Jones fight done. We could see IFW presented by Riyadh Season this summer. With the UFC media deal being negotiated in 25' I'm sure the UFC wants a big fight on the books while deals are being made.

I assume the AI will be using the live CompuBox numbers as well as other parameters like time spent moving forward opposed to backwards, activity per round and some other stuff

but I'm curious how it will account for damage, cuts and the IMPACT/POWER of shots being landed.

I think its interesting and has potential as a TOOL to help judging....

could be 4 judges + 1 AI judge in the future, I'm not sure but it is good to see Turki getting creative and trying to solve the issues that have plagued boxing forever

I'll be scoring the fight this weekend round by round and comparing it to what the AI saw.
I see what you’re saying. Is Compubox human generated?

I was thinking of tools that can use facial recognition, trained to recognize visible damage, can compute strikes and quantitatively deduce the winner. Judges use qualitative measures and just fudge it up or possibly might get bribed. Malware could be an issue as well as the level of the model.

Report back after the card to share your thoughts.

I could see Dana finessing sponsorship/funding from Emirates or Saudis for that fight since Jon wants that fight money.
