The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- Cannonier, Imavov, Reyes, Rosas on NOW

Might as well stop it. Not like Urijah was gonna dive for a leg or anything

Faber ain't eem mad, why should u guys be? He knew he was getting whooped

As I see it, Urijah got two options

-Cut of his arm, move down to 125 and fight Mighty Mouse

-Cut off his dong, and fight Ronda.

or he could hope that aldo challenges pettis and wins and then just sneak back into 145

who knows if aldo would be allowed to hold 2 titles

Aldo goes up.. Barao goes up.. Faber stays 135 and he can compete

Early stoppage no matter how you look at it. Yeah, Faber wasn't looking good, but he was still intelligently defending himself.

Barao or Aldo will move up in the next 12 months and Faber could sniff one more shot at gold.

Rogan isn't going to get away clean with that 'I'm ******ed' at the end of the Faber interview. :lol :{

Way too many PC hawks out there these days...

:lol

Said the same thing to my girl.. He's gonna get talked to about that one :lol

Aldo not going for finishes and fighting safely
mean.gif
I hope he moves up now

Rusty, I believe Shaun livingston did the same without contact.

Yeah herleg injury is brutal

I don't wish that pain & rehab on anyone

Super quick stoppage. Urijah still my guy.

cant see how aldo could finished pettis. if that fight ever happens and some one gets k.o im sure it will be aldo

I thought Faber was reaching with that Dillashaw shoutout, but in reality, that fight makes sense next at 135.

169 sucked.
it was bound to suck. nobody cared. ufc should never have a event before the super bowl in the same city. Usually the UFC before the Super Bowl was their biggest card especially in Vegas, where the money was trading hands and they got more buzz.

So both Aldo and Dana are up for the super fight with Pettis. Aldo would vacate the title at 145. But if he loses against Pettis, he can move back down to 145 and get the next shot for the belt.

I was always curious about fighters and their walking around weight... Does Aldo really walk around at 170? That's almost as bad as Kenny Florian fighting at featherweight.

Aldo being around 170 sounds reasonable. Johny Hendricks weighs around 220 lbs when he's not fighting. Which is about a 50 lb cut to 170. And Anthony Johnson used to be around 235 lbs while cutting to 170. But he did miss weight at 170 and 185 multiple times.

I knew fighters cut, but some of these numbers are insane. All of this makes me respect Frankie Edgar for fighting guys 30-40 lbs heavier than him.

Just got back home from UFC 169. Everyone thought. The Faber Barao fight was early stoppage. 70% of the people left IMMEDIATELY after the finish in disgust. Only the Barao fans stuck around for the post fights interviews. This card wasn't the best. Trujillo Varner was the only memorable fight.

You what brah, you're right, I forgot about Livington's knee, his was worst and no contact. I stand corrected. They told homeboy it might have to be amputated :x :{

The fact ole girl tore her hamstring too is throwing me off.

You better than that Herb |I

Barao forced his hand with eye contact and gestures. Herb should have warned Faber and give him another 10 secs to work out of it. **** happens though unfortunately. I thought Faber would edge a decision but Barao keeps on wrecking dudes. He's No. 1 p4p in my book.

Aldo looked great for 4 rounds. Real sharp. He's almost predictable at this point but he's so athletic and polished in the things he does it's hard to overcome.

Overeem looked real good too imo. Surprised he was happy to sit in Mir's guard seeing how he wouldn't entertain it with Werdum. Fabricio that much nicer on the ground?? Anyway I heard Dana was hurling slander his way about the performance but i think he's just mad that he's gotta keep cutting him a cheque :lol That being said he'll probably make him fight JDS next out of spite.

Oh and Varner vs Trujillo was madness :{

Faber is all class. Herb looked like he already knew he had made a terrible call in the ring.

It will be nice watching Aldo and Pettis because I'm sure Aldo won't go in there just to point fight. Pettis will force his hand.
