Stun Gun and Hioki will put in work in Macau.Sounds good to me
Although one of those cards is that weird Fight Night thing where half the fighters are unknown I'm assuming it'll be on the paid UFC channel
Really want to see Reem/JDS this year
Reem's beaten Based Hunto previously. Give him Roy, Struve. I'd be okay with Stipe.I want to see overeem against a mid-level heavyweight rather than fight the undisputed number 1 contender. For me, that fight with frank mir didn't really test him. I want to see a more even fight.
A little out of topic, have you guys seen mark munoz' version of wrecking ball? I think machida kicked him too hard on the head hahaha.
Struve was cleared November 24th for training.Roy is busy with Big Nog next. Haven't heard much about Struve since that heart condition.
You guys are proving to me the first meeting in July '08 was a long time ago. Bring on Reem vs. Based Hunto.I see where y'all are coming from with Reem. He is 1-2 in his last 3... Just heated we never saw that JDS fight at 146.
I want to see the guy in big fights with big names. Seems like that is the best way to get Reem motivated. Dude is pure entertainment when he is on.
That said, give me Reem/Hunt and it will be just as
And it seems like Dana is having troubles with Melendez and it feels like he's trying to blame GSP for it somehow."White offered Overeem a 5-round main event fight in Brazil against JDS, but he said AO turned it down. White said he then offered Overeem a three-round co-main event fight in Vegas against JDS, and AO also turned it down. "He wants nothing to do with dos Santos. He's literally hiding from him."
"Gilbert Melendez's contract negotiation with the UFC is not going well. Dana White told, "I'm done. I couldn't care less anymore. Gil shares the same mgr as GSP, Rodolphe Beaulieu and White said he's not a gan. Being GSP's best friend, doesn't make you a good manager." More from White: "If Melendez wants to fight in the UFC, he should talk to Lorenzo quick." & "He better start looking elsewhere."
After the Sanchez fight and Bendo showing, Gil has some leverage. This isn't an Askren situation. Dana can't overplay his hand.I guess we won't be seeing Overeem vs JDS anytime soon. Ariel Helwani said,
And it seems like Dana is having troubles with Melendez and it feels like he's trying to blame GSP for it somehow.
Bellator would pay big money to pit Gil against Chandler and possibly Alvarez depending on his contract situation.I don't really ever seeing a fighter having leverage when it comes to UFC. Bellator and WSOF aren't really an option for top fighters like Gil. They basically have to take whatever deal UFC is giving them.
Trust me, I want Gil to stay. We need a Bendo rematch, matchup with Pettis, Aldo if he moves to 155, Khabib.Bellator could but even if they offered him more money than UFC, could you actually see Gil going there? With all the comments from other fighters talking about how Bjorn is really shady and the whole Alvarez situation ticked off a lot of fighters. Gil probably wants a % of ppv shares like the big names in UFC get. Thats something that he can't get in Bellator and even if they hold a ppv it won't equal as much as in UFC.
Not a Punk fan. Subconsciously leave him out when mentioning top 155'ers.I want Gil to stay too. I wanna see another fight between him and Thomson if he doesn't retire. Josh won the first match, Gil the second and third, although a lot of people think Josh was robbed. And Gil wouldn't accept a fourth fight while they were still in Strikeforce.
