The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- Cannonier, Imavov, Reyes, Rosas on NOW

I can agree with that because Nate was hilarious without forcing anything, but he isn't about theatrics.

Muay Thai fighters not being on McGregor's level? Now I know homeboy is ignorant if he is talking about skill, ability, and heart. If he's talking about being a loudmouth clown, than sure. As far as money goes, it's economies of scale with top level Muay Thai fighters earning decently given wages there.
bro wasn't you the guy with the picture of his gym on the garage?

Spare me your bs. Man. Muay Thai fighters are a dime a dozen ... some are good and the majority of others are bunz ... I have money on McGregor that he'll destroy any of those cats in an MMA fight ... or what he has to fight Muay now?

LoL

Gym on the garage? I have no idea what you're talking about and can't recall if I posted any pics from training here. Most gyms in Thailand look similar to a huge carport though being a corrugated steel roof over mats, bags, and a ring. I've fought at both Lumpini and Rajadamnern, but that probably doesn't mean much to you since you don't know anything about Muay Thai.

I reckon the top Thais with 6 months of BJJ give Conor all kinds of problems because their clinch is like top tier Greco Roman wrestling and they don't quit like he does. Conor cannot stand with those guys just like he has nothing to offer even an elite amateur boxer.

You dismissing Muay Thai fighters is pretty telling of your ignorance. Even the ones that are "bunz" would wreck 90% of the MMA dudes at their weight standing. Don't chalk the Thais up based on Joe Rogan's assessment of world class moo Thai.

Aljamain got a big fight this weekend too....

he talked a whole bunch leading up to that contract negotiation, especially to caraway....

if he wanna keep climbing he gotta stop caraway...especially after that **** he talked :lol :smokin talking bout caraway hiding under meisha tates titty :rollin

How so? Again, Nate is on a crap contract. His only hope to get a bigger pay day is Conor. Conor on the other hand can fight anyone and still make boat loads of money. If Nate holds out for any reason he risks that Dana and Conor will move on to another opponent

Conor more so is in control here since Dana is letting Conor pick his fights
Where was his crap contract for the last fight? How do u know how much he's getting paid now? Im almost 100% certain his contract has been reworked after the win...common sense

U talking bout the same Conor in control that got pulled by the ufc off 200? the same diaz that told them to fly out to stockton to meet him regarding the rematch and they obliged...

And let's be real Conor aint moving onto another opponent now....from the get he said he only wants the rematch, nothing else
none here have said that the Diaz brothers don't have a following. They have a Hardcore fan based. However, no one else is bringing Conor type of money. 1 million buys to see the Diaz brothers? In what world? LoL

Diaz only has leverage if he fights Connor. Will let me rephrase, he has very little leverage vs Dana, vices none that he had before.

Lets c how it plays out, I don't know these peoples, just going on the following.
I didn't say Diaz bros firstly...i said Nate nor did i say anything about conor or money...

Which fight has been on everyone's radar ? and im not talking about the 20 of us on here....im referring to all the media, casual and hardcore fans, etc...Diaz and Conor both have leverage but for ppl to think Nate don't just cuz he doesn't draw the big numbers like conor makes no sense.

It takes all 3 sides to make the biggest rematch happen

BJ did that to himself if it was in the guidelines from USADA. A dude at the gym that is on contract with the UFC said that they make everything so clear that you have to be an idiot to get popped or you meant to get caught.

They give them a handout they can keep in their wallets that lists violations/banned substances, in addition to a phone number to a dedicated hotline to answer any questions 24 hours a day.

No love gon light almeida up IMO.
Hope you're right, man. Y'all know I rep for Garbrandt from Day 1, one of my favorite fighters after Bendo and NBK. Dispatching Almeida and a title shot wouldn't be out the realm of possibility, although Lineker in Pittsburgh would've strengthened Cody's case.

Aljo deserved every dollar. UFC had to protect against a young 26-year-old bantamweight prospect departing for Bellator or another organization. Sterling is going to finish Carraway by submission. Him vs. Garbrandt would be so lit for #1 contender at 135. Freshen up the division. I've been waiting for that matchup.

No better place to hide than under Miesha bae. I wouldn't even consider that a diss, more of a statement of how i'm flourishing.

Uncle Dana always been sleeping on the Diaz Brothers. They're both pure money. He could easily market them as bad boys. GSP's last big buy rate was because of Nick's talking and antics.

When is Nick going to fight again?

And Nate and Cowboy are the biggest names at LW. Just keep everyone away from RDA.

Been on a UFC watch spree:

Stipe vs Werdum. SMH. Werdum was feeling himself a little too much. He also seemed flabby and sick. He needs to be on the RDA regime. They definitely need to do a JDS/Werdum rematch.

Cyborg. Nuff said. Keep Holly, Miesha and Honda away from her if they don't want to go home and be family men. RIP Gina Carano. RIP Marlos.

Cruz vs Dillashaw. Volume, dictating the fight. Masterful. But would've liked to see TJ do his thing. But it's possible that the foot injury is what kept it close.

Ben Rothwell. Moves like a clumsy walrus.

The HW division is pretty shallow lol. But then so is DJ's.

Condit vs Lawler. Condit got robbed. Straight up. Lawler has gotten so lucky on this run. Shoddy judging and Rory's nose disintegrating. Welterweight is shallow post GSP. Wonder boy save us.

Exactly, Nate got ppv points only because of Conor. He probably got all sorts of bonuses as well for filling in on short notice

I know how much he's getting paid because he's *****ed and complained about his pay for the past two years

The only reason he got a red panty night is because of Conor which is my whole point in why Nate doesn't have the leverage you speak of

Show me proof of what this new contract is

You're a fool if you think Nate will be getting his old show/win money going forward.
Show me where this info is. And I'll be quiet

If Nate was really getting paid better the talks wouldn't have stalled

After one fight they're gonna redo his entire contract? A non title fight on short notice? I don't know. But show me the new contract and I'll shut up

Ur insane if u think he's still on his old contract.

Not gonna add an opinion, but just for information purposes, the UFC doesn't release contract information normally. No one officially knows what type of back-end pay the fighters are getting and the UFC likes it that way.

The one thing that will become public is Nate's fight purse after his next fight. Assuming that fight is against Conor, that # will be dismissed as a special fight, so you'll likely have to wait until Nate's next fight after Conor to see what his base fight pay is.

We do know more or less nates base pay. What we don't know is how many fights he has left on that deal

Apparently folks say because of the Conor fight his contract is all but changed

Guess we find out tomorrow when he's on with Ariel

Good looks.

I'm saying that because that website won't be updated until after his next fight, which will probably be Conor, we won't really get the answer until the fight after that.

I think we all agree Nate will be getting paid more than the 20/20 if his next fight is the rematch with Conor even if he does still have that old contract. I have to agree with the people that say Nate wouldn't fight for that though, he's already held out and he was less of a star then regardless of what he is now.

Real happy he's doing the interview with Ariel on the MMA Hour. Best interview situation possible, we'll find out a lot tomorrow.

damn larken and masvidal are fighting too, this card lightweight stacked

barao and felder too :smokin
