The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- Cannonier, Imavov, Reyes, Rosas on NOW

She probably mentally ill. But that Karen energy she got got to get snuffed by Zhang.

...but she did look smooth hitting them mitts. And I see she might use the ground game.
I'm not a fan of the CCP but involving politics and religion into a cage fight ain't it. Especially in the UFC where there are so many people from different countries and faiths.

Joanna is awesome. Her Muay Thai is second only to Valentina. Her range is probably the best out of women fighters. Relentless volume and pressure.

But what you’re saying is she lost to Rose and Weili. I think the Zang and second Rose fights were close.

I just wish these ladies would remove the cringe and politics.

I was happy when Rhonda got knocked out. And JJ was talking mad smack to timid Rose prior to their first fight.

Hated JJ. Her whole persona was cringe AF. Rose crossed the line IMO with her stupid comments. I hate the CCP but who the **** is she to assume what Weili believes in? She's implying everyone who's born and lives in China are 100% behind communism. ***** if that was true why the **** are there millions of Chinese people looking to become US residents and waiting years to do so.
The whole thing is just so ****ing dumb, her own family escaped Lithuania so she should know what it's like to be in a communist country and have little options of true freedom. Stupid as Karen energy for real. I didn't really care who won the fight but now I hope she gets her bald head bounced off the canvas.

“You gotta be a BMF to compete for that one, and this dude ain’t it,” Masvidal said about Usman.

“What belt?” Usman said. “There’s three belts, three shiny belts here. This is what’s important. Not that piece of sh*t.”

Rose has a little heft too (the JJ KO).

Honestly, the 115 fight is the one I’m looking forward to the most on Saturday.

Can not wait to hear Jorge excuse after Saturday night

Im out on Bisping now too actually. All the atheist. Homophobe stuff is lame. Beyond my own beliefs, when you have a platform be smart enough to just **** if your an ignorant ***. Also that Louis guy is the worstttt.

All the screaming fans at the weigh ins, yikes a covid cluster waiting to happen.

Is Masvidal gonna appear in every weigh in now with his Mickey Mouse BMF belt.

Lmaooooooo at Jon Jones asking for 30 million to fight Francis Guys a clown and y’all said he wanted to fight . Ain’t no one paying a decision machine that much

I thought the UFC didn't even want to give Jones 10 mil (before bonuses and what have you) so Francis-Lewis II it is I suppose. Just hope that one isn't like the first where both were gunshy.

I swear y’all just be ready to dog pile on anything without context or perception.....

UFC strawweight contender Rose Namajunas said she doesn't regret saying her opposition to communism is at least part of her motivation for her April 24 fight against champion Zhang Weili at UFC 261.

Zhang is UFC's first and only champion from China.

Namajunas' family is from Lithuania, and she said she has drawn inspiration from the documentary, "The Other Dream Team." The film focuses on the 1992 Lithuanian men's national basketball team, which entered the Barcelona Olympics as an independent country after the fall of the Soviet Union.

Namajunas recently told a Lithuanian outlet that the movie is a reminder that "it's better dead than red," an anti-communist expression coined during the Cold War. She also said Zhang is "red" and that freedom is a "huge motivating factor" for why she fights.

"If you're confused about any of my opinions, you can watch the documentary and you could get a good idea as to what my family had to go through, the reason I'm in the United States today, the reason that I do mixed martial arts, all of that stuff," Namajunas said on Ariel Helwani's MMA Show, which aired Wednesday. "I'd probably have a really different life if it wasn't for everything in that documentary, how Lithuanians had to struggle with communism oppression.

"The reason that I brought it up and that I referenced it is because the reporter suggested I had animosity toward past opponents, and that's what maybe caused some motivation in those fights, and in this one there's no animosity so maybe there's a lack of motivation. But that couldn't be further from the truth."

Namajunas, who shares the same manager as Zhang, repeatedly said her comments were not personal against her opponent. At one point, Namajunas said she views all of her opponents as "red."

"They're just the person standing in the way of my dream," she said.

Zhang recently expressed hope that she and Namajunas could be friends after the fight.

"I love Weili," Namajunas said. "I don't know her. I know she wants to be friends and all that stuff. It would be great to get to know her, if we could, if it's possible."

Yeah, the “red” comment didn’t bother me. I still want to see Zhang beat her a**...
