The NBA Draft Thread

It's great to see GSW grinding out those lottery/injury riddled years. The Knicks definitely would have given up on Curry and traded him for Melo.

They did what was needed, build through the draft and hit on picks with good scouting and trust in their now superstar.

They got Barnes, Green, Ezeli in the same draft

It's crazy to think that they did not even have a top 6 pick and still ended up with at least 3 hall of famers. 2012 was a monster year for them.

Branes, 2012 #7
Green, 2012 Pick # 35
Ezeli, 2012 pick #30
Curry, 2009 Pick #7
Klay, 2011Pick #11

What the hell is Philly doing :{

Bazemore was also part of the Warriors 2012 rookie class, he went undrafted. He's about to cash in for at least $40-50M this summer too.

Hitting on damn near every draft pick + adding complimentary pieces like Bogut, Iguodala, & Livingston = dynasty

Wait y'all calling steph klay and draymond all HOFers already?!?! :|

Only one I can call a lock is Steph at this moment. Sheesh, draymond green being called a HOFer already :{

I wouldn't say he's barely an all star but yeah HOFer is just an ignorant statement. Maybe ten years from now we can say that but now is foolish.

When I saw that 3 HOFers statement I started thinking. :lol

Steph will be and Klay has a slight chance but Dray? :lol He's a versatile player and he's tough but I can't see that happening.

Klay & Draymond are both well on their way to the HoF if they continue on their current pace.

Exactly, barring injury they will be.

Y'all act like we just didn't see Klay hit 11 3's in an WCF elimination game in the road.

Hard to evaluate a career in transition... and the more titles the Warriors grab the more we're going to be trying to discern and dissect things that are too micro on their own to matter so we'll just end up reaching the point where Steph-Klay-Dray are all HOFers eventually if they win 3-4.

Naturally, though, they should all be if we get to that point based on how complementary they are in the dynamics of the team and how those 3 specifically help each other's talents flourish. Opening things up for each other due to how good they all are in their own right, making it hard to even give up the proper credit they all deserve because with all being so good we can't tell what's helping/who's helping who more when they're one sum called the Warriors.

Only issue with Dray is he may not have the longevity that's usually associated with HOFers.

Longevity/sustainability in terms of maintaining the same level of play?

First off, keep in mind that the bar to get in the Basketball HoF is arguably lower than the other 3 major sports.

It's wild early for this talk, but I could see it happening for all 3. I don't think it's that farfetched at all.

They're already racking up accolades and breaking records. A lot depends on how much they actually accomplish by the time their run is over. Whenever that might be.

Dray's value in this new NBA climbs higher and higher by the day. The perfect stretch big, the perfect anchor to a switching defense, the perfect super role player. Versatility is out of this world, maybe unlike anything we've ever seen. Other teams are salivating for the next Draymond Green. The voters will keep all these things in mind. It's definitely way too early to pencil him in now, but dude is only 26 with plenty of time left for more All-Star appearances, championships, and perhaps the DPOY that eludes him.

Don't sleep.

Yeah, I mean he's 26 already. Most HOFers were probably producing at a younger age. So he more than likely only has like 4-5 years left in his prime, then a steady decline.

So will 5-6 years of All-NBA play (assuming he keeps this up) be enough to get him in?

Y'all overrating Dray now. :lol

He's a solid all-star player but HOF? They gotta go back and let some other dudes in if they putting Draymond Green in the HOF.

Well on their way? Stop it man :lol.

Klay...has a chance. Dray...anything can happen with his career. We giving HOF'ers to 1x all stars on championship squads now? Tony Kukoc bout to come knocking ob them doors lol.

Steph is the only HOF'er on that team...for the forseeable future.

Yea I think so if the Warriors are winning championships all those years.

Throw in a DPOY and maybe a Finals MVP in there and he will be in.

History will remember this Warriors team fondly anyway.
