THE OFFICIAL 2024 - 2025 DALLAS COWBOYS SEASON THREAD || 3-6 Next Game 11/18 vs. Texans Monday Night Football

I guess defensive lineman don't need a breather every now and then... They start the game and play 50+ snaps without rest.

How bout you go take a look at some NEW tape instead of living in the past. His numbers came in Arizona and hasn't done a damn thing since he's left. He has 1 TD since 2011! You're in here campaigning for him like the Giants just signed Revis or Talib. Miss me with that foolishness.

Ironic you mention Talib...
Same draft class as DRC.
You wouldn't have known who Talib was had he not played for the Patriots, by way of Tampa Bay.
:rolleyes

And you mentioned Revis..."Watch NEW tape (In regards to Cromartie)" But, isn't Revis living off "Old" tape... :rolleyes

Again, talk what you know man. Stop going off what the media feeds your silly self and going over statistics, decipher some game footage, X's and O's. Until then, I will stick to my guns.

I'm giving you facts and you're in denial. I knew who Talib was at Kansas and the same goes for Revis at Pitt so please don't confuse me or act like I'm clueless. You're living in the past bro. How many times did DRC get smoked last season by a bunch of no WRs in the AFC West. What about in Philly? :{ dude returned 1 TD last year, first time since 2011, now he's back lol

Philly was a blur for DRC. (Still managed 3 INTs one season) Again, this is PROFESSIONAL sports, It kills me when you guys say "no name" players. In that case, Jeff Heath's pick-6 agains Eli is null and void. Yeah, because a 2-time SB champion doesn't throw pick-6's to "no name", off-the-street, bench warmers. Cromartie worked hard to become a first round pick. And, he has done his thing. There's a reason Rex Ryan was livid about not getting him signed. And "Smoked"? Please bro, keep talking because you sound very idiotic and misinformed. Cromartie is one of the fastest players in the entire NFL. ALL CORNERBACKS GET BEAT...

Your the only idiot in a Cowboys thread cheering about the Giants signing DRC :{ .. Your backpeddling arguement about what he did to become a 1st rd pick is irrelevant. That has nothing to do with the discussion at hand. We're simply trying to tell you he's NOT what he USE to be. How hard is that to comprehend? He had a decent season last year, likely because he was on a one year deal.

Facts:

"In 2012 he was penalized a whopping 11 times, and allowed 645 yards, 5 touchdowns and 56.8% completion percentage into his coverage."

"You can also add 11 missed tackles to the list and you can see why outlets like PFF had him ranked as the 98th best cornerback in the league"

"2010 - Rated 100 out of the top 100 cornerbacks in the league. DRC allowed 814 yards, 270 after the catch, 62.2% completion percentage, 4 touchdowns, was penalised 8 times and missed 12 tackles"

"In 2009 he was a ball-hawk, bringing in 6 interceptions and he was named as a reserve to the Pro Bowl. However that can't mask some of the problems he had. He gave up 6 touchdowns, allowed 781 yards, 310 yards after the catch."

Is this the guy you're going to war for?? The guy who was on the verge of retiring if the Broncos won the SB?? Talk about sounding misinformed :lol

Sooo....Him or Canty were not in our D-Line rotation, from 2005- along with Spears, Ratliff, Le'Roi Glover (2005), Greg Ellis...

Good rotation guys... How many GREAT players are there on that group? Zero? And don't say Jason Hatcher.

You don't pay solid rotation guys premium dollars into their mid-30s and win big in this league. Who has done that recently and won a Super Bowl?

Good franchises don't do that.

DRC ain't that good and I'm not just saying that because he's a Giant. He's athletic but when things go wrong he's quitting and if he's gotta get physical he won't.

Put 88 on him and watch. Now he might pick off errant Romo throws but I'm not scared of that guy at all.

Best Giants moves were Holiday and Thurmond now those are good signings

As for us they need to sign someone Jesus make a move.

Yeah, NOT what he use to be? AT 27 y/o? GIVE IT A REST. Raiders and a lot of "media" gave up on Charles Woodson after he got released by the raiders. Old, over-the-hill, etc. Yeah...I'm going to go off "stats" and "media" and not actual GAME footage? Keep reading those ratings and lists Poindexter. New Jersey definitely is a place that producers top tier prospects so, I'll believe you :rolleyes

Florida's 1* and 2* prospects would be blue chip prospects and break every football record known to New Jersey. And you're damn right I'm going to ball out, if I had a 1 year deal. The heck. I'm just going to sit there and sulk, as If I don't have any pride? Who are Philly's CBs now? They railroaded DRC for Nmandi who, is no longer in the league. I'd be pissed too, had I been a proven, top, tier, starting CB.

And as far as tackling...Let's be real bruh. How many CBs, specially of DRCs stature make 60-80 tackles a year? He's not that physical, I'll give him that. But there have been PLENTY tentative cornerbacks who shy away from contact.

Honestly, It was awful for us to move up and draft Claiborne, We should've went after Jenorris Jenkins, in the late first, or second.

Why are yall entertaining this dude :lol I can't stand these self hating Cowboys fans. I mean, I know these next two or so seasons aren't looking good, but every move that the Cowboys make isn't bad. And every move other NFC East teams make isn't good.

If the Cowboys would've resigned Hatcher, kept Ware, and tried to reup Spencer, the talk would be about how stupid the Cowboys are for paying age. The same way everyone who is :rollin :rollin :rollin at the Cowboys signing Weeden to be backup are the same exact people that were :rollin :rollin at the Cowboys giving money to Orton to be arguably the best backup QB in the league.

Can't win for losing.

DRC wants nothing to do with Dez I predict a hamstring or back spasms injury before those two games

Dez for Desean guys 8o ;)

@HenMel: Thank you chicago for the best 5 years of my life!.... I can't wait to begin the next chapter of my life... With a star on my helmet.

:smokin

Early reports are a one year deal with club options based on performance. If this is true, then holy **** at our ability to construe a good contract on our behalf.

hope this is true would be a prefect deal for us

:{ yeah I can't have a debate with someone who brings up fl vs Nj when discussing DRC lol

Glad we got Melton, now we need an edge rusher since we won't be signing Allen

Have to figure it's for playing for his hometown/childhood team. At his age, skill, demand taking a one year deal is crazy. I'm glad we got him,
but I hope he doesn't have a Javon Walker type situation. Hope he gets his due down the line.

On a semi-related note. It won't last forever but despite our "cap hell" we'll always be a preferred fa destination. We don't even have to win and teams still want to play for us. :hat

Word to steve smith's list of teams he wanted to be traded to. Us being there was like those little kid workbooks "one of these do not belong. Which team is it?" :{ :lol

Also, managed to stumble upon and find a full game on YT . One of the few blowout wins in JG's tenure.
Posting in case anybody just wants to watch a random game.

I need to know what corners in the league Dez wouldn't fry one on one.

I don't think DRC is that good but using Dez as a benchmark ain't fair.

Dez has given is the best of the best work at times.

DRC was chilling covering WR's in that trash division of theirs.

Now he comes to the East where he faces Dez, D-Jax AND Garcon. 2x a year. Dude better be hitting the weights AND sprints.
