THE OFFICIAL 2024 - 2025 DALLAS COWBOYS SEASON THREAD || 3-6 Next Game 11/18 vs. Texans Monday Night Football

Am I the only one that is ecstatic about the moves the Cowboys have made. They got younger, dropped some dead weight and freed up a lot of cap space. The only way this offseason could have been any better so far is if they had cut Romo.

I'm not ecstatic, but I like the cuts and signings to start the year off. The draft will be the defining event in the offseason to get a feel for the direction of the team. You deserve one of these :| for that last sentence though.

Lol, so trading down to get a projected 3rd rounder wasn't a bad move? Every trade expert was saying they probably could have selected him for the 2nd round or 3 round because he was ranked 90th. Then next pick they took Escobar...... Overall D- for the draft. Yeah their first rounder played good, but he was a 3rd rounder!

:lol Everyone in here knows that I don't like Romo.

You are right though, the draft really needs to turn out good but we won't be able to evaluate whether the draft was really good or not until 1-2 years after.

You obviously don't even follow football. Travis Frederick and Terrence Williams were big contributors.

Terrance Williams had a great year as a rookie, better than Dez Bryant's rookie year.

No way that draft is a D-.

Did you pay attention to the draft the run on oline was unprecedented and not expected. I'm not a fan of the Escobar pick but they got two players who contributed weekly one of them looking like he could be a star

One season is to soon to grade a draft

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying all the cowboys picks played bad during the year. What I'm saying is they had a 18th pick in the first round and traded down and ended up getting someone they could have gotten later. Going into they draft the cowboys had more holes to address than the offense. Everyone was thinking the cowboys were going to address the D-line with the first pics but they went OT and TE.

It's like buying rims for a car with a blown head gasket.

you do a re-draft today and Travis Frederick is a top 15 pick maybe higher

I absolutely hated that pick myself, but lets be real here that was a great pick

Escobar pick sucked, so many legit players we passed on (Lacy and Warford were my picks there)

Exactly, easily a top 15 pick if the draft was done over. Was it a reach, yeah somewhat, but it turned out being one of the steals of last year's draft.

I hated the Escobar pick too, hopefully he shows us something this season.

this team has way to many holes to fill to trade draft picks for Jackson and then give him a bigger deal, its not like we are a WR away from winning the SB, with the limited cap we have we need to draft rookies and hit on them and keep them under there rookie deals

I guess the bright side, we are a really young team. Romo - Witten aside.

Free, Mincey, Witten & Romo are the only regular guys over 30.

I just looked this up. For all the slander Romo gets, he's had a great career.

He went undrafted.

He's 42nd All-Time in Pass Yards (about 5,000 from top 20), 31st in TDs (43 from top 15), 5th all time Passer Rating.

His career will always be marred by him only getting 1 playoff win, and it should count against him, but the slander he gets is pretty unfair. He's going into his 11th year, and the first two he didn't even throw an attempt. Considering where he was drafted, man deserves a lot of credit.

Mannnn I've been preaching that for years. If Romo played on ANY other team he'd be one of this generations best football stories.

Romo does deserve a lot of credit. Unfortunately we have an owner who doesn't allow for a team to reach their full potential...

Sometimes I wonder what would happen if Tom Brady was a Cowbay and Romo a Patriot? I mean they are somewhat similar in terms of how they came into the league. Who knows what Romo could've of been with a great organization behind him...

Being the QB of the Dallas Cowboys you're held to way higher standards.

Romo could be great if he played for AZ or Bengals, a organization thats not always in ESPN's radar.

But we could have a worse QB, I like Romo. Every season IMO he gets SLIGHTLY better. Not alot, but just a tad.

He deserves to have a ring, regardless in a boys uniform. I just want him to get the last laugh. Dude gets the pointed the finger for everything.

Romo is an average QB and a choke artist that is making superstar QB money. He's just a stat padder. He will complete a pass for 8 yards on 3rd and 10 to pad his stats.

Romo has been on different teams with different coaches. Parcells, Phillips, and now Garrett. The entire rosters of these teams have been different. One of the only constants is Tony Romo.

Put Tom Brady on the Cowboys and they have at least 2 Super Bowls. Romo isn't even a third of the QB that Tom Brady is. Romo is the worst QB in the entire NFC East division except for maybe RG3.

Damn b :lol

Dude gonna mention Phillips and Garrett in the same breath as Parcells :{ .. Brady has benefited from having the same coach, one of the all time great coaches, by his side throughout his ENTIRE CAREER. Let's not forget to add in an intelligent owner/GM. Consistency is the key. Parcells sticks around for the majority of Romo's career and Jerry lets him run the show, things in Dallas would be much different.

Brady is great... But he's also benefited from having Super Bowl caliber talent around him his entire career...

The best team we have had since the 90's was probably the team that went to Seattle and was a dropped FG snap away from advancing.

Patrick Clayton dropping that rock.

Nobody tackling Amani Toomer during that LONG trip up the sidelines.

Two plays that make me smh even til this day. Even more so than the fumble in Seattle.
