THE OFFICIAL 2024 - 2025 DALLAS COWBOYS SEASON THREAD || 3-6 Next Game 11/18 vs. Texans Monday Night Football

I'm not in the manziel wagon so I agree taking him would have been the wrong move in more ways then one

nobody knows if it was the right or wrong move yet

let's see how it plays out

if Manziel is legit and pans out, then they made a major mistake, if he sucks and is a bust then Dallas adverted disaster

but if that kid wins a Super Bowl before Dallas, which I think this team is nowhere close to winning one, it may put Jerry Jones a few feet closer to the grave, that may really kill him

keep this in mind, they've drafted 4 QBs since 1989, just four in 25 years

I don't think that is good business, but I don't work in the NFL I am just a fan with an opinion

It's not good business.. Especially when one of them is Stephen McGee and the other is Quincy Carter.

We weren't in a position to take Johnny Football. However, AJ Mccarron was sitting there in the 5th round and we should've jumped all over that.

I'm ok with them passing on a passer this draft. But they need to draft a QB early next year. Y'all think things are bad now, let Romo get hit the wrong way and really mess up that back.

It would be absolutely brutal to see, our O-line, Dez and Williams go to waste with the type of Qbs the Cowboys have tried to have success with after drafting Aikman.

I watched that yesterday, really rooting for him

Is am I but it's going to be difficult for him unless the team will take a 5th receiver who doesn't appear to play st

I think we will bring 6 WRs honestly.

Dez - TWill - Street - Harris - Beasley - Washington

I think Harris may be moved completely out of WR to only PR/KR.

I pick Washington over Boyd because he is the same size and is much quicker.

Team looks pretty much set:
QB: Romo - Orton - Weeden
RB: Murray - Randle - Dunbar
FB: Cutts
WR: Dez- TWill- Street- Harris- Beasley- Washington
TE: Witten - Escobar - Hanna
LT: Tyron - Weems
LG: Martin
C: Frederick
RG: Bernadeau - Leary
RT: Free - Parnell

LE: Lawrence
RE: Mincey
Backup DEs: Selvie- Spencer
DT: Melton - Hayden
Backup DTs: McClain - Bass
LOLB: Durant - Holloman
MLB: Lee - Hitchens
ROLB: Carter
DB1: Carr
DB2: Claiborne
Backup DBs: Scadrick - Webb - Moore
FS: Wilcox - Johnson
SS: Church - Dixon

K: Bailey
P: Jones
LS: LaDouceur

Leaves 4 spots: Crawford, Wilber & Gardner likely get two as backup DEs. Needed because Melton & Spencer are iffy. Backup Center for Frederick is #3. Backup to Bruce Carter (Will Smith) is probably the last or maybe a 5th DT (Ken Bishop).

I see a 6-10 7-9 team with Romo, without 3-13 4-12

I think this team will be picking in the top 12 next year

:lol Top 12 though my dude? It's not like our division isn't wide open.

IF we can correct the mental mistakes and stay healthy we have a chance. Two BIG ifs.

We're past the point of not having enough talent to win, the talent is there, it all comes down to mental strength, that goes for the coaches as well, and being healthy.

Crawford is on because he can swing between tackle and end if needed.

friendly wager my dude, I correctly predicted 8-8 last season, I say 6 or 7 wins this year

if they lose Romo, watch out because they will be horrible, at least we could get a elite player in the draft then or I hope

this team isn't that good, I love the Star but they are not a playoff team

I'm excited for pre-season games because I want to see if this defense is any better. Also I want to see if we can run the ball better, that would help the team out a lot.

Let's not forget I was a firm supporter of that 8-8 prediction last year :lol ... let's get through the preseason first then we'll make that friendly wager.

Who are your favorite udfa's the Fb is the obvious choice but I'm thinking that Ryan Smith may become a real player probably not this year but somewhere down the line

I don't even know who Ryan Smith is but i'll go with JC Copeland, looks like a beast of a lead blocker

Copeland is the obvious choice that's why I looked elsewhere for my pick Copeland is pretty much a can't miss high ceiling and floor player that unfortunately plays a dying position

Copeland could take Cutts spot easily because I don't remember using him this season. I despise the 2 TE formation because it pretty much tips off you won't run the ball, which we rarely do.

If Cutts is kept, Copeland won't be.

But if it meant that we would get out of the 2 TE formation and run some I-formation, or split back, anything to run the ball more, I take Copeland in a second.

i'm glad they didn't use a draft pick on a FB, i've seen enough of that with Chapped *** guy from Georgia

Copeland will have trouble making the team but if he's a hell of a blocker he should beat out Clutts
