THE OFFICIAL 2024 - 2025 DALLAS COWBOYS SEASON THREAD || 4-7 Next Game 11/28 vs. Giants Vol. Thanksgiving

Mo only had 2-3 bad games last year.

Scandrick was good in 2008 then fell the **** off and is now redeeming himself.

This game is going to be a big test for Church. They will most likely split Gates wide and force Barry to check him. But I don't think Gates is ready for Sunday Morning Church Service :smokin

Somebody just reminded me Church was undrafted. The Cowboys stay striking gold in that UDFA market. Church, Beasley, Bailey, Miles, Romo :{ Probably the best in the league at that

:smokin Hope Rod Marinelli likes Dallas, those D.C offers are going to be coming

Marinelli recognizes there's only one D WARE in the NFL.
It would be a bad decision if he made a lateral move to another team with lesser talent.

lol are you serious? he will not be a position coach next year no way, either head coach or defensive coordinator

Yeah he'll get a DC gig next year. Look at what he did with our line and the Bears last year. No way somebody doesnt offer him more. Just imagine what he could've done with a healthy D-line :x

Yeah I was serious, but I forgot he's only the d-line coach.
So used to seeing our coordinators on the sideline, and Marinelli is the only face I see and name I hear when the defense is mentioned.
Still don't think he would leave after just one year.
I'm sure he likes it down here. Potential to win a Super Bowl down here too.

oh you thought he was the DC?

no way that guy stays here just a DL coach, hes too qualified to not be a DC or HC

he's like Gandalf and shhh

Naw I know Kiffins DC, but I always see Marinelli on the sideline with the headset on like he's the DC.
I'm happy for Jerry. Dude spends big money trying to field a winning team.
Glad to see the pieces coming together for him.
Now if I can just get on the payroll it's on an poppin :smokin

How much one of y'all wanna bet that Philly, Washington or New York pick up Marinelii as their DC :{

Miles is out and Harris is questionable.

Ok Williams here is your chance. Dez is gonna get that week 1 vs the Giants coverage :x

wow we are light at WR, like seriously they should sign someone

Naw we need to run the ball and establish our screen game.
Dez, Williams, Beasley, Hannah, Witten, Escobar and Dunbar out the back field should be enough to beat these scrubs.

Escobar about his business:

Bringing the Tickets

Rookie tight end Gavin Escobar is headed back to San Diego, where he spent his collegiate career. He’ll have plenty of friends and family in attendance, including his girlfriend, who still lives in California.

In all, the former San Diego State Aztec said he had to buy 20 tickets for Sunday’s game.
“It’ll be great to play in front of them,” he said. “I haven’t seen a lot of them in a while. So hopefully I can see them a little before the game. But really, I’m not there for that. To me, this is a business trip.”

Escobar is coming off arguably his best game as a pro last week when he caught his first touchdown pass – a 24-yard touchdown pass from Tony Romo in the Cowboys’ 31-7 win over the Rams. Escobar nearly scored two touchdowns but couldn’t get his feet in bounds on a corner fade route earlier in the game.

Overall, the rookie tight end said he’s feeling about the progress he’s making.

“I think I’m getting more and more comfortable in the offense,” Escobar said. “Last week was good to get (a touchdown) but there’s a lot more I need to work on. But it helps the confidence.”

This year, Escobar has three catches for 40 yards. His 13.3 yard average currently tops all Cowboys receivers. - Nick Eatman

Our screen game has been wack under Garrett, but Callahan is going to change that.
Before Garrett came to town we had a very productive screen game.

People are making this OC change bigger than it really is. This is still Garretts offense. The move just helps him be a better head coach. The O will be the same.

Bbfly the changes will be gradual.
Garretts still HC, so he has to get more comfortable with Callahan and Romo working together.
We should know by now Garrett has a huge ego and doesn't want to lose his "grip" on the team.
But the reason Callahan is OC is because Garretts offense wasn't working.
It's taking some time for Garrett to accept it, but he has no choice.

Still Garrett's offense it's air Coryell but Callahan is a west coast offense and we've seen more of recently and that's a problem because the Coryell is much better offense because it attacks down the field vertically

I like air Coryell it's what we've ran since 2007 so keep using the same system we aren't a dink and dunk west coast team no way

I still don't think Callahan survives the season, they need to bring in a young aggressive coordinator to run the offense

hoping murray can come back & put together another good game... we need consistency in the back field. can't wait to see our defense against rivers right now too, he's been on fire lately, but i look forward to seeing our defense come through as it has been.

big game tomorrow because it can really get some good things going transitioning into the game against denver. & i've been saying it, but now is the time to really be putting together some wins with the division struggling & the earlier part of our schedule being more favorable.

Still not feeling confident going into this game. The resurgence of Phillip Rivers scares me. I think SD wins 31-24
