THE OFFICIAL 2024 - 2025 DALLAS COWBOYS SEASON THREAD || 4-7 Next Game 11/28 vs. Giants Vol. Thanksgiving

They should have cut him in the spring or IRd him

This is some BS, they should file a complaint but they have their own team doctors to evaluate that injury so I think he eas healthy enough but jerry didn't care and cut him due to his ego

Def more to the storu here guys

Just last week his lawyer was saying he'd need a year to heal and that the Cowboys knew that. Know this Bamma is a week from working out for teams.

Eh, not really sure if we "peaked at the right time." The Saints exposed Romo that year collapsing the pocket around him, making him step into his throws. He was only good that year playing 'play ground' football. Sean Payton knew this and this is why the Saints stomped us 49-24? I even remember them showing mercy at the goaline, out of respect for Parcells and didn't drop a 50 burger on us. Our defense also got severely exposed by the deep ball. Roy Williams and the Dallas D was never the same for a good 3 years straight afterwords.

We never recovered from that game. We went on to lose two of the next 3 games. We beat Atlanta the week after 38-28 (this was when T.O. spit on hall and burned him for two TDs) but then we lost to Jeff Garcia and the Eagles on Christmas, and then lost to the LOWLY LIONS (there record was like 3-13) 38-31.

We didn't finish strong but the fact remains we were about to beat Seattle.
He had them ready to compete for a trip to the Super Bowl, and win if we got there.

I gotta check that video out tonight

you got a point about the NO game, we weren't the same after that, but I do think in the playoffs we could have went all the way

I've been lurking for a while but had to speak on this. As others have stated if Romo 1. played for any other team and 2. didn't have the Seattle fumble he would be one of the most respected QBs easily. I have no issue with Romo.

Two games told me everything I needed to know about Romo. First, the game in Buffalo on a Monday night a few years ago when he was solely responisble for 6 TO and was still able to lead the Boys down the field for the FG win. That showed grit in the face of knowing that had they lost he would be completely blamed. The second was the San Fran which has been stated earlier.

I think that New Orleans game in 11' had more to do with our defense getting exposed. Payton/Brees exploited the fullback out of the backfield who was never covered. Copycat league....everyone else did it after that.

The Romo hate is ridiculous. The NFL top 100 list didn't even have him on it. While RGIII was top 20 :rollin The year before he was #92 only one spot ahead of Tebow. Blind hate. So ridiculous :lol

If we IR'd him, he would have been owed 80k per week or think. Cutting him actually saved us some money.

6 teams are already inquiring about Ratliff. Speculation is that the Saints and Pats among those 6 teams.

:lol this is comedy

please do because that doesnt make sense to me

So I checked it out, the cap hit would be the same in terms of dead money. But the speculation is that the Cowboys didn't IR him because they knew what they deal was and are hoping to get some relief either salary and or cap.

EDIT: Remember a couple weeks back Jerry was asked about the Ratliff situation and said he couldn't say much on it and mentioned "legal matter."? Could be more to this whole thing. I don't think this is the end of the 'Rat' situation

ok thanks that makes sense then

yeah, this ain't over........

Yeah that clown trying to strong arm Jerry.
He won't get any money if he faked an injury.
I'm sure that's breach of contract.
Wonder what happened to Ratliff to make him go sideways on the team?

I don't really care if the Cowboys receive money or not from this situation unless we receive cap relief. It's obvious Ratliff just wanted to get out of Dallas. Dudes been plotting since last year.

Yeah if he violated the terms of his contract we definitely getting that taken off the books.

This is mad random but what's the deal with Shoes :lol? Dude is hilarious. I know he's supposed to be a Cowboys fan but I've never seen him post in here and I've never really seen him talk about the Cowboys period other than to troll/piss off Giants fans :lol

Shoes is awesome :lol . He's a legit Cowboys fan and knows how to get a lot of dudes mad on here. He doesn't hold back or worry about being "accepted" on NT like some people do. I think things really got heated in 2007. Every week he made the WIR thread, it would start off with "What's stopping a Cowboys/Patriots SB" since our only loss for majority of the year had only come from NE. When we lost to the Giants in the playoffs, this forum was mass hysteria. Members that hadn't posted in months came out of the woodwork to clown etc. Back then there weren't such things as memes, but dudes were making youtube videos etc. That WIR thread lasted 2-3 months I think. That's when I knew the Cowboys hate was real. What's funny is, Shoes had every right to say what he said. The Cowboys did look like they would represent the NFC being 13-3 and being the #1 seed, everyone on NT thought GB was going to beat us when we were both 10-1 and this forum was SHOOK at the fact that Dallas might go to the SB.

The irony though is that this forum does respect him despite their deep hate for the Cowboys. Every so often some clown tries to start a WIR thread before shoes and people go in on the threadstarter and usually request the thread to get locked or wait until Shoes makes the thread :lol. I think there was a texans fan (not do work) who tried to beat Shoes every morning in starting the thread when he first started posting here and the forum members put him in his place quick :lol

:lol Wish he'd post in here. Him simply posting 'Yikes' in the Giants thread is honestly one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen in my life. Started doing it to my Giants, Eagles, ******** friends and they can't stand it :lol And man I feel bad for all of y'all on here back in 08, January 13th 2008 was a dark dark day :{ I know the Cowboys haters had a field day

Matt Stafford has better numbers than Peyton Manning through the first 50 games of their careers.

What does all this mean?

Nothing.

It means Matt Stafford has been handling his business.
It means Matt Stafford has established himself as a legitimate NFL quarterback.
What was Peyton Mannings post season record after 50 games and three playoff starts? 0-3

It means Dez isn't overrated like some NT GM's have stated. Of course, they are now eating their words.

P.S. No one in here is indicating Dez is better than Calvin

Calvin was asked about Dez, and here was one of his lines verbatim:

"Besides route-running, he's an all-around good receiver."

Shots fired.
