THE OFFICIAL 2024 - 2025 DALLAS COWBOYS SEASON THREAD || MEH

How about a Demarcus Ware replacement, or just a top shelf pass rusher in general.

Nah. I'm fine with Ware still.

Part of it is that a bunch of patch work on the line. No Spencer on the other side that requires a lot of consideration with blocking schemes, and no Ratliff up front that causes teams to give consideration to.

If we were running Ware - Hatcher - Ratliff - Spencer with Carter & Lee as well the pass rush would be insane, and run defense would be unstoppable.

Nice win, but man these injuries.

DeMarco's was expected; hopefully Randall and Tanner can make up his production until DeMarco comes back.

Hoping DeMarcus' injury isn't serious. He's had a so-so year thus far, but he's an important part of this defense.

Huge game next week in Philly.

DeMarcus has had lingering neck/shoulder/arm injuries the past couple years now. something tells me that they arent going away or may get worse. Im not saying he should lose his starting job, but we need to consider drafting a top pass rusher. spencer wont be back so there is also the opposite side that needs to be addressed.

Great evening from all aspects of the game tonight :hat

I thought the offense could've done better, the points early were off the big returns and stupid penalties by the dips and we struggled late.
Almost let them back. And penalties were a problem for us. But i don't even want to complain because its been a long time, not having a game where one unit is on but let down by the other.

Just some thoughts. Carr really becoming on of my favorite Cowboys. Scandrick made a play, could've had another two picks if he turned his head around on completion to Moss and if he'd caught the ricochet off Carr-Reid. Whole defense stepped up. Chuckled at TWill getting the blocking downfield penalty. Someone here mentioned how KC ran that play multiple times to perfection with Donnie Avery and we could never do that.

Get well soon. On to Philly, an above 500 record, and first place!

D-line balled tonight. Hatcher is playing excellent :hat. Like someone said before if Marinelli was coaching me i could get 5 sacks coming off the street lol.

Offense got so pass happy in the third quarter i was getting pissed smh.

Big game next week, Randle is gonna have to step up the next few weeks with Murray out.

Dat boi Harris :hat

I'm likin this Romo that I'm seein performance wise, just hope he can keep it goin as well as the rest of the team. Why is it that seems we can't keep a healthy solid back these past few years? I hope we keep producin like this, especially next week against the Eagles

By the way I was doing a franchise in Madden with the Boys. I was wheeling and dealing to get multiple first round picks..

Ended up somehow getting the #1 pick because some team really underperformed.

The reason I tell this story was the guy I drafted. His name was Wolverine Justice. Played MLB. I had no need for him at all. But with a name like that, you cannot pass on him :lol

Demarcus Ware gonna miss his first game in his entire career this Sunday. 3-4 weeks is the projected timetable. Knowing our medical staff, Demarcus Ware won't come back until the Giants game after our bye.

Dware breaking down.... Hope the team keeps with him tho. But seeing Dware not winning a ring would be the biggest tragedy in Cowboys history :{.

Don't see how the team doesn't draft/sign at least 5 Dline/Oline guys next season. Spencer, Ratliff, and Miles should all be coming off the books. Plus there will be no cap penalty next season. Should have some wiggle room to make decent moves.

I believe I read somewhere that the boys are 20 mil over already next season after all of the restructuring these last couple years

If I remember correctly Dez and Tyron Smith are the priority next offseason.
Harris may be up for renewal as well.

Ware is breaking down, even when he was healthy he hasn't looked the same the past two years

I told them to get DE depth in the offseason and nobody wanted to listen

Backups of backups can only play good for so long, its only a matter of time when our pass rush becomes non-existent and teams start lighting us up again

Last night was a great win, very gutty now we have to carry that over, but my gut says they let us down in Philly

i thought i was the only one noticing that ware hasn't been the same, sucks it's catching up to him so young.

D. ware hasn't been the same since the 2nd half of last year. he was MIA the last 2 games of last year when we need him the most and hasn't look the same this year.

do you guys think its physically or mentally?

Physical. Ware is still one of the smarter defenders in the league. He'll get by on that for the rest of his career. Don't get me wrong, Ware is/still will be one of the top players in the league. But I think he'll be in and out of the line up from here on out.

these injuries |I

hate to see this happen to ware especially... he's already been on & off this year (already dealing with injuries), now this 3-4 week timetable :\

our defense last night though :smokin great performance. special teams too... harris showed out :Nthat

good to see us get a win with romo, dez, & witten not having huge games... twill & beasley :smokin

that romo .gif is great too.

Foles has been better in the red zone than Vick but mobile QB's seem to hurt Dallas so I think we have a better chance against Foles. I'm expecting a 38-35 type of game. As bad as our defense is, there's is worse.

If Carr can play well against Jackson it well then it will help a lot. Im expeting Hatch to get a lot of attention so we need Selvie and crew to step up. Big game for us coming up

Hopefully Randle plays well enough to keep Philly's D honest enough where they have to respect our run game.
