Alright everybody is in here talking about the damn fit of the shoes but what about how they actually feel? The boost feel like UltraBoost or what?

Man they feel dope. Upper is comparable to UB. Definitely not as much cushion as a UB though. I think I'll really enjoy hooping in them.

Well my pair are off to a rough start. As I was putting them on for the first time, part of the Harden "H" logo fell off the tongue. Also the first thing I noticed when putting them on is that the material makes a crumpling noise as I walk in them.

LOL brutal.

Pros:

- Boost

Cons:

- Logo falls off and shoes make crumpling sound during play...

:rollin

why did that make me laugh so hard.

I checked out my pair at lunch, didnt try them on yet, but honestly kind of underwhelmed feeling them in hand. They didnt seem as light as I thought they would be.

Good point. These are actually 15oz but hopefully "play ligther" than that.

For reference:

Kobe XI - 12 oz

Kobe 8 System - 9.6oz.

Comparing to Kobe's because this is probably the closest Adidas has to the Kobe line.

yeah kobes are definitely lighter.

came back to them, trying them on and they are really nice. Boost is noticable, but its nothing outrageous, much more stiff than UBs, and I would not cop expecting them to be comparable.

I do however think (at least this black/gold colorway) that this shoe can have major off court appeal.

I must say that things greatly improved after the logo mishap. Here's a very brief list of first impressions:

The Good

- Great traction that does not collect dust like the Crazy Explosives

- Responsive boost that isn't spongy like the CEs

- Good fit and play "light"

- Very very stable and great support

The Bad

- The laces are super thin and awful to deal with

- The quality is suspect. Aforementioned logo incident and materials aren't amazing.

Go with your normal adidas size. Or go with the EUR size. Unless you are new to adidas shoe you should know that adidas is 0.5 bigger than Nike, eg. If you are Nike 9.0 you will fit in adidas 8.5. But adidas sizing can be all over the place as my tubular is like 1.0 - 1.5 too big and the EQT 93 is a snug fit if u go adidas TTS.

I went .5 down from my ultra boost and they got perfect. I love these kicks. Came off the truck right on to my feet haven't done that since I got my first pair of ultra boost.

As for the feel of the boost it is a comfortable shoe but it's not as soft as the ultra boost but you don't want a basketball shoe to be that soft. I might play in them tonight if I do I'll post my thoughts View media item 2244613

In for the black ones! I'm hoping the toe is leather and not nubuck or suede.

Hooped in mine tonight and was impressed, I thought I'd list my thoughts below to help anyone debating getting them Saturday...

Traction
No complaints here, stuck to the floor well and didnt slip at all. To be honest I find Adidas traction to be consistently good so wasn't too worried about these.

Cushioning
Much firmer than the Ultraboost, and the CLB 16 too for that matter. The impact protection is still excellent and my knees feel fine after 2 and half hours hooping, but don't expect that bouncy feeling you get with boost in other models.

Fit
I went .5 size down like I do in all adidas hoops shoes and it was perfect, no heel slip at all. Overall I found it a better fit than the CLB 16, though I personally didnt have the heel slip issue others had in that shoe. The suede overlay does a great job of containing the front of your foot resulting in good lockdown throughout the shoe.

Conclusion
A great shoe and one I'd definetly recommend for guards who enjoy court feel but want impact protection too, however I personally enjoyed the feel of the CLB 16 more just due to the boost feeling more 'boosty' (haven't tried the Explosives so can't compare it to them).

Adidas are on a roll this year, between these, Lillard 2s and the CLBs my rotation is set - and that's coming from someone who was strictly swoosh and Jumpman on the court until this year.

^appreciate the feedback on performance

Looking to check out the pioneers this weekend
