Looks like there are 2 options available for the laces. One is standard while the other called fuzzy laces is the one pictured… You can actually select it as the 2nd laces too.

Did you order your normal size (after conversion) or go up .5?

I ordered the Lumière eu exclusive womens pair and ordered half size up, and those were still to snug in width. So go a full size up at least. My US men size is 8,5 and I bought wmns size 10,5
