THE OFFICIAL AIR MAX 1 THREAD

What happened to the creativity at nike. All these releases are so boring. We get basically the same shoe released 3-4 times over the past few years. Everything is so uninspired and lazy. The only plus is you can get most of em 50% off or more.

Creativity at Nike is run by finance (bean counters).

Maybe fix the quality control first (unfortunately also run by finance).

The materials of the current NBY program that are equivalent to what was available in 2023 - ie leather, suede, mesh, embroidery - are the exact same. The materials come from the same source, produced the exact same way. Just different colors. Each pair of NBY will vary a bit though due to the production process. But the materials are the same, and assembled at the same factory.

No ****? They have that good suede? I had no idea. I thought they'd gone back to the cheap felt stuff.
the 2023 options were nubucks and leathers the 2024 options are hairy suede and metallics and leathers

the color options on the 2023 program were far better, moe vibrant, they had the mini swoosh and you could do more color placements over more segments of the shoe. the current program limits the color placement in comparison to lesser areas, for example the sole's have one color option and heel collar and vamp mesh have to be same color and material as opposed to 2023.

i have not got the 2024 in hand but the colors are definitely more muted. I would look up pairs people have done for more accurate reference of irl expectations.

GOAT is using ECMS global. What the heck is that? A foreign carrier? It doesn't give you proper info, no expected delivery date, at 8am it stated shipment departed from carrier facility..guessing GOAT Europe verified these. How long did your orders take to receive your pair from GOAT or stockx?

They transfer it to USPS when it gets in the country and you can track it thru there then. Usually usps drags their feet with packages from these 3rd parties.

From what was shared yesterday, the 'official' release is scheduled for 11/7. Only a few shops released early.

Regarding no shipping and tax, not sure about that one. Depending on where you live, you might be charged for either or. I live in CA, so I have to pay for both.

There are places that charge shipping and no CA tax (saint alfred), tax but no shipping (Premier), or no tax and free shipping (can’t remember off the top of my head)

Probably old news but Huf's for $128.

BRS big bubble 45% off with code OCT45. Looks like most sizes in stock.
WTF? That's really annoying

Annoying for me because I just bought them at retail earlier in the week.
Oh yeah that would suck. Can you return them?

If the Snkrroom sales are any indication of demand I would assume these only sell out after major sales. Once they release I bet the BRS pairs sit long enough that they are discounted by BF.

Damn I'll def grab these if they go on sale like that again.

My big bubble blues have become my concert beaters, but one of my favorite pairs in a long time.

Got these from StockX recently. Under retail, but the quality is garbage. Pulled the right shoe out first and straight away assumed they were fake due to the mudguard dip, but the left shoe is fine. Then noticed the heel tab is crooked on the left and the bird on the heel on the right is taking flight somewhere 🙄

I'm going to return these (as luckily we can in the UK).
