The Official Black Mirror Thread: Season 6 on Netflix Now

Yeah it seems like they put more effort into the gimmick than the actual story. If this is gonna be a thing, cut down on the alternative endings. Leave it to 3 at most, and focus on the story.

this maybe wasn't the best implementation, but it also isn't an easy task to write/film/act such a divergent story...if anything for the choices to really have weight, there would potentially need to be more alternate endings; it is understandable why stuck to the looping structure of that style of books, especially as it conceptually ties in to the story, but it would have been really interesting to really go all in on the multiple path story such that it really would be a different experience depending upon the different choices without guiding/looping the viewer back to the 'correct' choice...

I was impressed on how it was all tied and put together, I just wasn't into the story that much. Also its the fact that it came from the creators of Black Mirror. They set a high bar. If any other people made this, I wouldn't be AS disapointed.

Yeah, story just wasn't as interesting nor were the characters compared to previous stories.

I have no doubt somebody in one of the season 5 episodes is gonna be playing Bandersnatch though.

Wait . How many endings are there ?!

I thought that there was only one .
Because they kept making us go back and redo it until we got to the ending that they needed us to be at.
Me and my girl we're doing the adventure
We chose the music for Now , the cereal was frosted .
We at first chose to hit the dad upside the head .
But when they asked if to chop him up or burying him, we was like hell no . We not chopping him up. And then somehow we ended up having to make the decision again. And 2nd time we chose to chop him. I kept telling her that they expect us to choose the answer that the average person would.
Anyway I guess I have to go through with it again.
My girl was getting impatient because it got too long for her and also scary for her liking .

my initial impression after initially 'finishing' it was similar, like "well, that was underwhelming...." but after going through just about all the loops i came away thinking it was done with a purpose; to connect the concepts of choice to the the structure of these books...it just that i wasn't feeling the implementation. i almost feel like this story might have been better without the interactive choices, not because the 'gimmick' was bad or didn't work but more because i think this particular story purposely was about funneling to particular end(s), to some extent; rather than truly making the choices matter...

Glad I waited cuz now the entire thing is available and I don't have to make a single choice.

Just watch all of these alt endings. Story itself isn't that good.
This is basically what was missing for me. It wasn’t nearly as compelling as most other Black Mirror episodes.

There were moments where it felt like things could get really interesting (Colin’s stuff), but none of it felt fully fleshed out. It was a cool concept, the story just wasn’t compelling enough for me.

I've gotten at least 5 distinct endings. You gotta go back and make different decisions.

No there’s atleast 4 that I know of. The story changes each selection you go back. It was fun to do.

wait do you mean when you pick for him to jump and he dies and shorty starts screaming and then he wakes up in the car with his pop again?

or is this a totally different ending?

I spent like 2.5 hrs with it and got the ending where the full credits rolled and assumed that i touched on everything lol
If you go back to the main page for the ep to watch it again, there's a status bar that will show you how much of the content you've seen.

Anyone figure out the phone number in full yet? They give you 4 of the 5 digits, but I couldn't get the 5th and the call went disconnected. I'm sure there's a code that lets him complete the call somewhere.

When credits rolled, did you wait and get the ending about the girl in 2018 making a remake of the game?

20541 if I remember correctly

I’m positive there are others but I don’t care enough to uncover it

They give you all 5 digits for sure. I'm wondering how many different numbers you can call in that segment...

I know you aren't talking to me, but I've gotten what you got in the spoiler as well as what they're calling one of the most definitive endings with no cuts in the credits. There was an after credit scene though...

Yeah not watching this, kind of found the trailer boring. I think they could have done a movie of tons of other already running ideas.

Man, went back and watched Nosedive after watching Bandersnatch,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Holy **** I forgot how THICK Bryce DH was in that episdoe, pools of drool

Watching San Junipero now.
The Club that they hang out in is called Tucker's, as in Tuckersoft? As in Mr. Thakur? It was set in 1987, hmmmm......

imagine that...then we have to think about which universe we're in...the one where the game released and was buns...or one where it released for a bit..was goat...then was pulled from the shelves when son caught the 187 charge.

yea i just watched the whole thing, it's like an hour 50 minutes. no choices. it makes them for you. shows every scene, every ending.

Yeah, they do this thing where they speed past the same scenes to get to the different choices. That was kinda cool cuz it reminded me Edge of Tomorrow and Groundhog's Day even though Stefan wasn't fully aware all the time he lived through these scenarios.

To me it would be insane to sit down and rewatch the same times over and over waiting to make a different choice in short succession.

I was reading posts about staying with it for 2 hours and 4 thinking yall crazy

The secret **** about getting a new scene or different ending based on how many times you've picked a certain amount of choices is ridiculous.

Completely ridiculous.
It's not entertainment at this point, it's just exploring.
I've got more than enough time when I'm at the Office.
I was doing an Invoice this morning in between speeding past scenes to get to the choice.........
I'm left at the point where I've told Mr. Thakur that I would take the job, for the 9th time.............trying to see if the 10th time gives me something something

But yea It is ridiculous from an "entertainment" stand point.
