Gold prices continued to slide on Monday as the dollar and US treasury yields kept marching higher and prompted investors to dump the non-yielding metal.
Spot gold dropped another 1.2% to $1,679.67 per ounce by 11:40 a.m. EST, its lowest since early June. US gold futures too fell by 1.2%, down to $1,677.40 per ounce.

Meanwhile, the greenback climbed to a three-month peak, while the US 10-year Treasury yield held close to a more than one-year high, increasing the opportunity cost of holding gold, which pays no interest.
“We have an economy that is recovering and inflation is materializing; that ultimately means that yields have room to move higher,” Bart Melek, head of commodity strategies at TD Securities told Reuters in a note, adding that gold could fall further towards $1,660 as a result.
Even US Congressional approval of President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion covid-19 relief package, which would have raised inflation expectations, failed to keep the precious metal afloat.
Gold is widely considered a hedge against inflation that is likely to stem from widespread stimulus, but higher bond yields this year have threatened that status as they translate into a higher opportunity cost of holding bullion.
Analysts also said US Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s failure to address the recent surge in yields last week further pressured gold.

Anyone have any recommendations for a 1.8mm solid Franco 18"? I think y'all said nuvagold is good or something like that. Anywhere y'all suggest I look? Trying to replace it this ASAP. I'll try someone other than Sarraf since y'all fried it, although my experience was totally different. I see mad varying grams from 6-10, same mm and same length, I hate that.

nm, sort of. their prices kind of suck unless you're buying their heaviest chain(s). they have 10mm cubans aswell as 12mm cubans for around 43 a gram so I figured they should have smaller mariner chains for similarly priced but you have the buy their heaviest piece. I don't agree w/that typa pricing as a lot of ppl would never wear such big chains.

20 grams, with with a lil over 3cts of vs2 G color diamonds. 14k gold. I’m yet to make an offer, but I’m curious what y’all would pay for this. I want it, but I don’t wanna lowball the dude to the point he don’t respond, and I obviously don’t wanna overpay.

So me personally I would pay $3500 but I know that is a super unrealistic price. But Maxx $4500-$5000. I would bargen real hard to get as close to $4000 as possible.

how much are they charging?? And do you care if it is lad diamond's or earth mined?? Because that is a key question and getting it tested right away. Ebay has that new good return policy so no worries there. And I would see if it states if it is earth mined(if that matters 2 U) if not get him answering that question in a DM so you can return if need be.
