c4g got a 35.99/g promo until wednesdayCuban specialists must be feeling the consumer pullback pretty hard for them to be running per gram specials in the face of this inflation. Basically costs come back to 2019-2020 levels at $38-$39g of 14k.
I wanna take advantage but have a bunch of real life ish I gotta pay for this upcoming year.
One of my favorite details are the blue tears.
I know we are here to post and review work but seeing a message like this about your piece after you were so happy and thought it was the best thing in the world is brutal. The settings in the bail look horrible.
even im not that harsh!I know we are here to post and review work but seeing a message like this about your piece after you were so happy and thought it was the best thing in the world is brutal.
anyone have any experience shortening a chain? how does it work/cost?
thanks for the info, much appreciated. what happens if you don't remake it into anything? do they just keep the gold and/or subtract it from the labor cost or something?Yes, I had a 30 inch chain shortened into a 23 inch chain and 7 inch bracelet. I took the chain to Shyne and they cut the chain reattached the clasp and added the box clasp to the bracelet. It took a few days and was around $500.
Just had a rope cut down and a Mariner. Mariner I shortened and made a bracelet out of it too. I think I paid around 225.00 for the Mariner to be shortened and the bracelet made and I think it was like 150 for the rope to be shortened. I used the extra rope piece since it was only 4 inches to be applied to the bill and they paid Spot price.thanks for the info, much appreciated. what happens if you don't remake it into anything? do they just keep the gold and/or subtract it from the labor cost or something?

What exactly was petty about my single sentence post? All I did was post my opinion, and although the writing could have been more tactful, there is absolutely no reason to get worked up about it. You can insult my grammar and education all you want, it really makes no difference to me one way or another. I do not have a custom pendant or Rolex watch at this time, and I am wearing moissanite earrings at this moment, if it makes you feel better to have some ammo on me.I mean I’m not here to entertain pettiness about my custom made piece. He’s got better pieces that are done “right” he’s free to post em. I could be petty and say post your stuff or better yet get his GED and grammar up and learn that it’s BALE, but nah.
I’m fine. I got a heavy custom piece that looks good and I’m still blown away about. No one’s gonna come up to me with a loupe and peep the setting. They’re gonna dab me up and say that’s nice like they did all day I don’t need to feel some type of way cuz some dude has an opinion on the settings of the piece that looks amazing to me.
