Pretty sure he doesn't make them but he can get pretty much whatever. I tried getting a 3 or 4mm cuban off him awhile ago and he said he only makes 5.5mm and up. Would really like to see some of his pendants aswell.

hey breh you been on here for years, do you or anyone else remember how francos used to look slightly different pre 2008?  like more pointy I think?  Tighter links maybe?  I wish I had some pictures to show an example of what I mean but I can't find the disc those might be on.

hey, thanks for posting, I'm not sure.  the way that the links are on the right side of the screen, the francos pre 2008/2007 were tighter there I think.  I'm not sure that anyone who remembers this still posts though.  I only brought it up cause someone made mention of one of those Florida miami cuban makers having francos and I always thought these were real limited chains, like only one factory it Italy made them really.

for sure, I was just describing the franco in isolation from the other set up.  maybe it's a lost cause though cause they weren't even popular like that until 2004 I think.  then a few years down the road the word was that the only people in the world who made them stopped for a bit in either 07 or 08 when gold prices got really high.  when they reappeared the solid ones looked slightly different.  but that's only a few years worth of chains that I'm referring to so it's possible that nobody knows what I even mean.

well the solid one you posted, the side profile.  that looked different back in the days.  there was less space between the links/they were less boxy, not sure exactly.  to be honest I think that only two other people commented on it ever so it's possible I'm lookin like a big jerk here.  plus it looks like it's more than just one factory in Italy that makes francos in 2015.  matter fact I'm pretty sure that IF & CO makes them.

Ya i actually wanted a solid franco once but because the links are so tight and square they dont come to a V when they bend and it looks odd with a light charm.

This one I've had since maybe 07-08.

cool, thanks for posting.  I can't really determine though so I'ma forget about this until I find the old pictures I mentioned earlier.  for some reason that chain looks a lot heavier than 112.5 grams

I always wonder about how many different machines there are and have been and how much variation there is in production techniques and alloys and how consolidated the industry is.

I came across the patent for silk ropes once and it was an interesting read. It got transferred from one of the old big companies to another one at one point too that info was included

With watches it seems like you have all the info on the pedigree. Seems like chains you'd wanna have the same knowledge about a product you might be spending thousands on.

That's the cool thing about Reys and daniels, you know the pedigree and geography
