The Official Melo M11 Thread.

Thanks for the reply, do they charge tax for buyers outside UK?

Too bad after the link was posted M11 is almost sold out, couldn't get my size even earlier. Also other models that's on discount also out of size after a while, i guess the site's today's sales really have to thank alot to this forum. $89 for M11 Christmas, $79 for Superfly3 Christmas...
They didn't charge me any tax. The only time we get taxed here is if the store is located in the state. They had the Lebron 12 "Trillion Dollar Man" cw and Jordan 4Lab1 on sale as well but I just prefer a simple, clean cw to wear personally.

had a chance to try these on today. they fit pretty narrow like everyone said. also i had just played in the xx9 few hrs earlier, so i felt the forefoot was pretty stiff that you can't feel the zoom at all in comparison. the heel was similar. the material the way the shoe is shape doesn't seem like it'll stretch out a lot even after wear. they are xx9 light tho. so i made my decision to only get these when they go on deep discount.

I returned these because the sole felt too flat and rigged. Huge fan of the melo m8s which were more flexible. Now I'm rocking j.crossover 2s and they twice as smooth as the Melos. Not sure it's the best shoe to be bangin with inside. More of a guards shoe. Only reason I mention it in here is unlike most threads this is mostly regarding performance.

Thanks the pics pointguy....any idea the theme or release date on them? Those pics look like Nike official release pics.aube coming soon??

I think they're year of the goat....since the xx9 year of the goat is the same colorway

M11s have got to go on sale soon. I don't see them moving and without Anthony having a good, high profile year I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Are these M11 BHM's? and will they be releasing?
from the way it looks they might have been BHM's. for whatever reason they only decided to go with lebron, kobe, kd, kyrie, and the xx9 for BHM's this year.

well, i would like to update my previous statement that you can't feel the zoom at the forefoot. I must've had tired feet that day due to playing ball that morning and no sleep.

i bought the xmas for $130 at the outlet in size 11. the leather upper seems to be more stretchy than the syn upper. the forefoot this time feels pretty decent. might keep these and sell the xx8 SE blk/red for cheap. gonna play a few times in these to decide. Really love the cardinal7 details on these sp;

FYI, Melo's in pretty much all sizes are going for $20-$45 below retail on eBay (with free shipping). I went ahead an copped the concrete islands (will do black lace swap) for $145 shipped. Red hook Sunsets are going for $125 shipped. For me, I wanted to try out Flightplate, so this is a good price point for me to take a flyer on.

Frank -- love the material and cardinal 7 details on the Xmas as well, I just wish that glitter wasn't there... or it was much more subtle.  Such a good look otherwise though.  I don't know... I just can't get with all the glitter.  Keeping my pair though, may try and remove the glitter

From a distance i think the glitter looks ok, but up close the like you said its a little much. Not sure how you can remove it the, they looked mixed in with the pylon.

You're right, It does seem to be mixed with the foam so it could be tricky. I'll probably just live with it.

played in these today for a rec league game where our team got destroyed by a dude that was 6'6" playing in a D4 league. didn't care about the game much since it was such a farce that the league allowed him to play in our division. I'm the biggest dude on our team and i'm only 6' and 205.

the shoe tho was amazing! the floor was fairly clean and the traction was great just like the XX9. cushion wise, you can feel the forefoot zoom, but i think the xx9 has a better response. The heel has more cushion than the xx9 and felt softer once i started running around. The upper however wasn't as flexible as the xx9, but it was still comfortable although a little narrow if you got a wide foot. i was able to get used to it pretty quick and no hot point at any time. The lock down did felt a little weird tho. The insoles are thick ortholite, so they're pretty comfortable. The heel to toe transition was not as smooth as the xx9, but definitely a lot better than the xx8.

personally, i would rank these higher than the xx8, but less than the xx9. at the price point of what you can find these for, these are the best shoe out of JB this year for sure.

need new ball kicks.

are these recommended for a point guard? i need to be able to make quick cuts/change of direction

Are they the best option for a guard?  I don't know, but I do think these could work well for a guard.

They start out pretty stiff, but will break in nicely.  Also really depends on preference.  Personally, I think something that has a pretty rigid upper and base is good for quickness/energy return.  I think these work well in that department.  The flightplate tech is great in that way and the zoom up front is a good feel - great responsive and transition is solid.

Have you tried out Jordan's flightplate/unlocked zoom tech before?  Do you have a place to try them on?  I'd hate to recommend and then have them be completely different than you're expecting.
