Just found out Reservation Dogs, which I really like and think is excellent quality, is done after it’s 3rd season.

Networks are unfavorable to the creative side with the cost-benefit analysis.

I’m just seeing that after some Googling. Still sad about it, but I never knock TV shows deciding to go out on their own terms.

Streaming needs some shift to the process. There’s a lot of bloat in the process. I’d like to flip the model a little bit and run a profitable streaming network.

Simple math:
For every $1 in subscription fees 90 cents goes toward show making. And users get tokens they can vote with for shows they like based off a trailer or for renewing a season. And only those shows get made.

I heard the CEO of HBO speak in March of this year and he said all the big networks are struggling with the right formula for making streaming sufficiently profitable. If an NTer can solve it for all of them, God bless.
