The Official NBA Season Thread: Back and Maybe Better Than Ever Before

Pat should’ve been more aggressive on the trade market. Jimmy was a championship player, the team just didn’t have enough firepower.

Unfortunate situation.
His whole plan was to just cross his fingers and hope Jimmy turns into LeBron come playoff time and everything would just work itself out.

Never tried to make improvements. Highly overrated.

Ironically I thought Jimmy was the overrated one when he signed there  Thought they were destined for first round outs every year.

Come to find out, Pat Riley is the one who didn’t his job

Riles and Heat banked on Giannis leaving Milwaukee after the bubble, only to have him sign an extension (twice!). Let Crowder go in free agency because they wanted to be players in 2021 free agency. Sign a semi-washed Lowry and PJ Tucker in 2021. Didn't bite on a Beal trade or find a deal for Lillard. Traded Lowry and a first for Rozier. They have drafted well since 2017.

Frankly, I think they overachieved with two Finals appearances and three ECFs since 2020.
