This season I think the issue was people viewing the Celtics as so stacked that Tatum wasn’t as integral to the team’s success as guys like Jokic and SGA were.
I could be wrong, but I don’t think Tatum has ever finished top 3 in MVP voting…
 
Had multiple deserving candidates.

Why wasn't there any toxicity surrounding the award this season? No passive aggressive press conference answers or social media posts. No campaigning. No aggressive fanbases attacking the other. What changed?
