The Official NBA Season Thread: NBA Cup Night

If the Celtics would’ve signed Lonnie Walker to a minimum contract, it would’ve cost them $11M in tax. For a MINIMUM. That’s crazy.

Definitely one of those unintended consequences of the CBA. Squeezes out fringe veterans from being able to hang on to a job.

Very curious to see which team LeBron decides to root for in the upcoming World Series

When Derrick Rose knew he couldn't fulfill his contract, he told Memphis to let him go and keep the change. What's the excuse for Kawhi/Embiid/Murray?

The tax and the two-ways have killed the 15th spot on rosters.

My favorite trade that would never happen would be Brandon Ingram for Jamal Murray.

Wish the Nuggests had the balls to do it cause I think it would work for them.

It’s crazy how in the NBA you can go from being viewed as a potential star player to a JAG (just another guy) in a blink of an eye. Goes to show you how much talent is in the league. You got like 3-4 seasons to really pop or you will be out to role player status
