bahama's potential front court and shooting is looking :emoji_fire: .. Naz Reid gonna look like prime Hakeem in international play

NT reverse jinx powers check:

Still strong to quite strong :nthat:
Gassing up stats in a Consultation Bracket is a new low for NT

Again though- I'm hopeful they can capture that 17th place finish and bring that trophy back to Finland with pride

Crown him MVP of the teams finishing between 17-32 :pimp:

His team is no good

He’s averaging 23 a game on 47% shooting though.
I had time!!!!

In the 3 games that actually counted he was at 19 ppg on 40 FG% and 15% 3P

But yes- in the 2 games that don't count for squat, he's absolutely torching. He will most likely torch in the actual NBA season too

Are we done or is we done you damb arguers just to arguers

Tomorrow is big a big day for Olympic qualifying. 2 spots up for grabs for North/South America countries. 1 spot is 99% going to USA. If DR and PR lose tomorrow and Canada wins they get that 2nd spot.

South Sudan qualified today since they finished 1st amongst African countries and Japan qualified by finishing first amongst Asian countries.

His dad is from the Bahamas

Gordon played for the USA in 2010.

FIBA granted him an exemption

Seems like FIBA is open to Americans moving over and playing for less dominant nations.

“Eric Gordon recently undertook a similar path, becoming the Bahamas' "naturalized" player. However, FIBA regulations specify that each national team can have only one such player. Consequently, a choice would need to be made between Gordon and Thompson.”

Conundrum

This is similar to Jordan Clarkson playing for the Philippines as a naturalized player even though he hadn’t even played for the US team. His problem is the strict FIBA rules.

From what the ESPN pods have said, FIBA would allow a "lesser" country to get a player like they did Eric Gordon-Bahamas, but they would never allow it to happen for the US.

A Clarkson/ Jalen Green back court would be so much fun to watch.

I hope Green decides to play for the mother land.
