The Official NBA Season Thread: Season Starts Now

I find ESPN streaming to be the worst of all of them

They’re bad too but Paramount mannnnn

I could be watching a CL game and I get alerts that a team has scored minutes before I see the goal while it’s streaming. It’s crazy.

If Apple TV was ever looking they could really do something. They have such an outstanding quality of live sports streaming. They just don’t have many sports.

Every fan that is celebrating this nonsense should be made to wear a suit whenever they want to go see an NBA game...

Them post game sidewalk interviews with Knicks fans finna hit different....

Shaq, Chuck, and Kenny will go to NBC.

Why you guys are looking for analysis from them all these years in TNT - I have no idea.

They’re there for entertainment. People who don’t even watch basketball sometimes (especially casuals) will watch Inside the NBA. That crew is valuable.

No matter how much you may not like them. They’d be the hottest free agents, especially Chuck.
They have great analysis AND they are entertaining, they aren't advanced analytics guys but i'd take them over any other crew on air

streaming in general is sooo slow. heck, even espn live updates on website is minutes ahead.

Yeah I'm in a profession where a suit is actually a requirement. Making MORE people subscribe to fake professionalism isn't a good thing.

A corporation that generates billions of dollars. That’s exactly why America is in the pits. People don’t even want to dress up anymore. Folks going outside with slides and dingy clothes.

“Professionalism” still matters. No matter how you slice it :lol :lol:lol

People should take more pride and actually put effort into looking nice.

Athleisure culture has y’all blinded.

Imagine a corporate lawyer, or any lawyer representing someone in a corner store t-shirt and slides :lol :lol

Has coaches not wearing suits for the last three seasons has hurt the NBA?

I am impartial to the suits but I'll never forget seeing Sam Mitchell in Nordstroms back in the day, I must have been in college,-maybe earlier- this is when he was coaching the Wolves, he would always be rocking the choppa suits -in peak skinny suit era too:lol:

I said bro who is your stylist (tone was like I was amping him up)

He said "My wife"

I said "oh" and left

He was a cross between shook and salty

Again. Been wearing a suit every day for 12 years. Even when they "got rid" of the dress code guess who still wears one? Cause I know full well what corporate America is like and what lines to push back on as a black person.

This is basketball. This is coaching a basketball team. The players are out there in shorts but everyone else has to dress like its their first day at JP Morgan. It's dumb.

Speaking generally

Requiring people to wear suits for no good reason just acts as a fee for employment in many cases

I used to work a entry level data analyst job for a casino company and they required me to wear a damn suit to mess with pivot tables all day.

Had to borrow money to get enough work clothes.

Dry cleaning was a pain in the *** expense

Now I am a manger with 12 people working under me. Make over four times more money. And when I am in the office I wear jeans, sneakers, and a golf shirt.

A lot of these dress codes are pointless.

Just old white dudes liking things a certain way

Well god damn…. I knew it was going to be nice but I had no idea Intuit Dome would be this revolutionary.

HIM HIM lawdog1 lawdog1

What’s up with my tickets?

This is one of my favorite youtube channel. I just watched this high af on Saturday.

I'm just happy I don't have to go to that ****hole in downtown anymore

Pretty much. When they repealed the dress code at my job you could hear the pearl clutching. One guy said that it was going to destroy the fabric of the company and people were going to show up in Football Jerseys. I have yet to see a jersey. This was 5 years ago.

I had one too many slick comments about it, when I started really leaning into the policy. "Oh cool sneakers" "Hoodie huh I know its cold" and I just said F it. Back to suits. I am nobody's Martyr.

Suits are dope. Being forced to wear one takes all the fun out of it. Cause its just not comfortable. Every day for 12+ hours a day, like what are we talking about?? Its silly.
