The Official NBA Season Thread: NBA Cup Begins | Embiid Debut | Klay Return

Not sure you can put Black White Paul George ahead of Bron either

I prefer option 2.

half measures. Here is what the NBA should do;

if you win. and finish top 1-2 in your conference, you get auto home court advantage throughout the playoffs.

if you finish 3-4 you get auto home court up to the conference finals.

5-6 you get home court in the first round.

if you win the tournament and finish 7-11 you auto avoid the play in.

that will make the teams compete.

The NBA Cup didn't have an issue with competitiveness though

you're right, let me clarify I mean it will elevate the stakes for the fans and teams.

I liked the NBA cup, but when we got to the finals, it felt a little light on stakes to me. Like ultimately why do I care if NBA players get a some extra cash?

but if home court in the finals is potentially on the line, I think it would really make it more entertaining from a viewer standpoint.

and adds some interesting wrinkles to the season.
