The Official NBA Season Thread: I’m like Jayson Tatum in the Olympics I'm not playing

These two (Felger and Mazz) are atrocious in general. Their whole shtick is putting out low IQ, Skip Bayless-caliber stuff. Among other things, they accused Isaiah of "quitting" in the 2017 playoffs even though he played through the death of his sister, getting his teeth knocked out, and played on his injured hip until he literally could not play anymore. They don't know ball and if anything, JJ should've been MORE condescending to them.

He was the 11th pick… that’s not to hard to achieve my dude

Yes it is.

Based on that chart the 11th pick got a 50% chance of being a straight bust. Not bad odds at all for that range.

Look at the history of the NBA draft and get back to me

You said 6 guys were better… and he was picked 11th

I could see if he was a 2nd rounder, undrafted or picked in the 20s. He was supposed to at least be decent. Him being the 7th best player wasn’t far fetched when he was picked 11th. That made no sense:lol:

Why are you bringing up other drafts? We are talking about the 2006 draft. Not players from previous years.

He said 7th best from HIS draft class. Not every draft

In JJs draft, in which was picked 11th, him being the 7th best player was not difficult to achieve, especially based off his draft positioning. He was supposed to be at least the 11th best, based off his draft range  .

So basically, he ended up being 4 spots better than projected

Did Carmelo peak at Syracuse? 🤔

Can’t write NBA history without Melo. Achieved way more personal accolades. Of course winning that championship in college mattered. Can’t write college or NBA history without Melo.

You could write NBA history without JJ Redick, but you can’t write college history without him.

He had ZERO personal accomplishments in the NBA

Melo has all-NBA teams, all-stars, signature shoe, Olympics and is one of the 75 greatest…

JJ’s only personal accomplishments were at Duke :rollin

What chapter are they writing on Melo? Might just be a footnote when they mention Lebron’s ROY award.

1 person in the entire world, 1 time a year is the 11th pick in the NBA draft. That basically by definition makes it an exceptional thing to accomplish

**** Duke

And **** Jj Reddick

But just making to the league is incredibly difficult.

Playing for 15 years is another type of difficult in itself.

He turned it around like Rivers did (another Dukie) and ended up finding his niche. Congrats to JJ, but like the Rock says know your role jabroni. He running around talking like he pac or sum.

JJ Redick definitely peaked in college. He was HUGE back then, him and Adam Morrison were huge stars. And JJ was like the prototypical Dukie at the time, before the one and done era.

They’re acting like him INDIVIDUALLY peaking at Duke is a slight.

When people start bringing up longevity and how much money is made… I just know what type of time it is.

Can never talk about actual skills or physical traits on NT in regards to sports without dudes bringing up totally unrelated things.

Even Kyle Korver made an all star team and had an identical career as JJ, so did Dell Curry but they’re talking like JJ was the one fans came to see during NBA games

No NBA fans miss JJ Redick. The Cameron crazies and Duke alumni are the only ones who probably miss watching dude play

“Play that new JJ Redick” is akin to “Play that new Lil Yachty”
