You don't have to wonder. Jim Buss was in charge when Bron was a free agent in 2014 when all that buffoonery was going on. Additionally, dude had no idea what he was doing.

There was no chance Bron was going to LA in 2014 period. The Cleveland return was tailor made for him.

All of the praise for good personal moves, none of the blame for the bad ones...the Klutch way.

One of the most pathetic things of last season is how ****** tried to suddenly absolve Bron/Klutch when the Russ move backfired.

One minute...it's "player empowerment" and an understanding that the most elite of superstars have a "deserved" say in roster management. The next minute...ownership/management are supposed to put their foot down and push back when **** goes left. If for some reason the Hield trade didn't work out...****** would have been in here saying "see they should have let Bron and them bring Russ in"

Pat Riley put his foot down and it led to a strained relationship and Team Lebron dipping.

It was also sus for KD to look for an escape from a franchise, when you and your mecurial partner are the #1 reasons why it's gone the way it has. Can't have it both ways.

Miami was the best basketball situation that LeBron ever had. I respect player empowerment for guys choosing where they want to go in free agency. It remains foolish to me for these franchises to let these guys drive decision making/takeover the franchises. LeBron is the only one that’s been successful and that’s with a mixed bag on the long term implications of that. Most of these guys just aren’t good enough to let them hold your franchise hostage.

It's been "Team Durant" in the All Star Game since he's come back from injury.

I doubt he's going to suddenly get less votes than a Tatum or Embiid this year of all....

Yeah...but he had those limitations when they traded for him. In theory, that's supposed to be on the front office to account for those limitations in how they build the team around it's stars.

That whole thing ended UGLY for the plug to have been pulled so fast. It wasn't just they found out "this guy is injury prone and can't defend so we HAVE to pull the plug for whatever we can get right now".

Even with his limitations, he's the most talented player they've put next to Luka since they've had him. It wasn't supposed to end like that because he couldn't play drop and he's pie.

Naw he could move that 1st year, that meniscus/bone bruise combo pack finished his lateral quickness off. He did get some of it back this year though

DHam saved Russ from his himself by limiting his minutes, not playing him in 4th quarters at times. His still turns the ball over too much for a 6th man type.
