They want to sell tickets. Coming out and saying, hey these 2 big stars we got prob won’t play 40% of the season isn’t going to be good for sales.

100% this. Along with, if you have these fans paying insipid tier pricing for an inferior product. People are getting tired of that stuff with the NBA.

But I'll forever ride with Embiid by putting the real out there and letting people know what the business is, just like Kawhi did earlier this season. People work too hard for these teams to pull the wool over fans eyes to maintain their bottom line. When they know once the schedule is released in August what games they are already missing.
