it hasn't worked with PG before. nor with KD, nor with Harden, nor with Davis, nor with Lebron. so I'm not optimistic but goodluck to him.

We really have to see this every time he switches teams at this stage of his career?

I swear, it's almost as if people haven't followed Westbrook's career. It's all good vibes and smiling press conferences until the ball is tipped up. Literally this exact same thing happened when Westbrook first sign of the Lakers. There was a long article ESPN bout how Westbrook met with LeBron and AD and Russ said he was ready to sacrifice in order to win a championship. It's all smiles, dancing and good vibes until Westbrook gets on the court and it ends up being the same old story.

There's this weird "push back to the pushback" on Russell Westbrook. Russell Westbrook wasn't the only problem with the Lakers. The team don't have great coaching and the front office to the bad job with roster management but Russ was a big part of the problem due to his inefficient play and poor decision making.

Part of the problem with Russell Westbrook in his last couple stops is that he was among the highest paid players in the league so simply having Westbrook's enormous salary on your roster made it difficult to build a competent team. Westbrook wouldn't catch so much heat if he were making $15M but the fact that he is the second highest paid player in the league and is basically a good bench player at the stage in his career made it even tougher to deal with. When you're paying someone $47M You need that player to be elite in Westbrook just isn't that guy anymore. The Clippers are in a better situation solely because they don't need Russell Westbrook. The Lakers, Wizards and rockets needed Westbrook to be elite and that's where they failed.

Dame getting Hollywood. That was shockingly unprofessional.

Kings are one of the softer defenses in the league. Would’ve felt like the all star game that he just played in
Except for him chasing Fox and red curry around for 35+ mins.

But I get it

it’s almost comical how much better the Lakers are now  Like the gap is more than significant.

Don’t know whether to congratulate Pelinka or be furious with him for acquiring Russ & his contract in the first place

Again, very fortunate Bron carried them to .500 when AD was out earlier. Otherwise they would’ve fell more than 10 games under .500 & it’s probably a wrap.

Now if healthy they’ll be right back in the mix.

They’re a very uncomfortable matchup for whoever finishes in the top 4.

Y'all haven't seen uncomfortable yet. Let the Lakers get into the playoffs.

People really going to give Pelinka credit for trading away Russ but wanted to blame Bron for acquiring him.

That's some crazy job security. Dude cleaned up his own mess.

They have to be the favorites to win it all now. And tbh, anything less would be a tremendous failure with that roster.

Doc Rivers just said the NBA told Joel he had to play the ASG on 97.5. Embiid told him he wasn't going to play but the league told him to get out there

Hmm interesting makes sense cause a sixers beat writer was hinting at this as well

**** adam silver clown ***
