The Official NBA Season Thread: SFA Prevails

Description is wild... Mans going all caps like Jae Crowder

Believe the science says players don't bounce back from ACL tears for two seasons much less four games.

To be fair - Klay is 32 and Murray is 25 without all of the deep playoff runs and only had a single injury. He has a much better chance of unwashing himself. It would be a surprise and really sad if he didn't tbh. And what pmatic pmatic said
That’s exactly what I’m saying. Not that he’s washed but that it’s going to take a year for him to get back to what people expect from him.

Don’t really think the criticism Klay got last year was fair considering 2 years off but yeah, he’s old.

A hard cap would likely be an end to the max contract as well which in theory would function in the similar machination.

As proposed isnt it just on total payroll? Like a guy can get the max all day, but 6 max guys cant be on the same team or whatever the top number is total salary overall

Golden States top 4 highest paid guys alone make 148M. Thats more than 13 entire teams and of course when Pooles extension kicks in that gets more lopsided as now its obviously Steph, Klay, Wiggins, Dray (48m, 41m, 34m,26m respectively)

Of course they pay heavy repeater tax which is distributed in some way but its a productive conversation to have.

Maybe players you draft and retain can count against your cap less or something then the rule would affect GS differently than a super team like BKN
