The Official NBA Season Thread: SFA Prevails

The independent law firm probe into Udoka found that he used crude language in his dialogue with a female subordinate prior to the start of an improper workplace relationship with the woman, an element that significantly factored into the severity of his one-year suspension, sources told ESPN in September.

Those investigative findings -- which described verbiage on Udoka's part that was deemed especially concerning coming from a workplace superior -- contributed to what was an unlikely pathway to his reinstatement as Celtics coach in 2023, sources said.

The power dynamic associated with a superior's improper relationship with a staff member was the primary finding and policy violation cited in the law firm's report, which was commissioned by the Celtics and completed early last week, sources said.

So they was talking freaky to each other before they started smashing. How dare he.

He used crude language PRIOR to the start of the relationship :rollin

Mans was at his job though

Without context I'm not killing him. If he was on some "what that throat do" type **** ok but most of the time in these situations it's men and women flirting back and forth and it grows into more. She was obviously feeling him and giving him the greenlight.

Bomani Jones made this point...

Do you guys think Kyrie actually watched that entire movie?
Of course not. Never finished an entire movie, an entire video clip, an entire book. Just form a quick opinion from a surface level understanding of anything and off to the races. If he and his type had the ability to finish and understand something he'd be a different person.

I thought the issue was him sending those messages to a subordinate.
Then continued to send messages when asked to stop by the team?

Yeah ok.

But for the Celtics, it creates a legal risk for them.

So they are not tryna hear about it being consensual or if she was feeling it. In the grand scheme of things it really doesn't matter even all the info. They hired some of the best lawyers in the country to look into this to cover their ***.

If you are an employee causing this much trouble for your employer, after you agreed to uphold a certain level of conduct, you are asking to be punished if not fired.

ESPN is not posting about this to talk about the dynamics of Ime's affair. They are posting about it to talk about what led the Celtics to take action.

So Da Nets are cool with a team with a Quitter in Ben, a Beta Clown in Durant, an Anti Semite in Qyrie and a Womanizer and all around scumbag in Ime. What a Joke of a team.

Yeah I know these dudes are probably lying on about how much "knowledge" they ingest, especially books

From my understanding being an avid reader is highly correlated with having normie liberal (big and small L) views on the world. Even people without college degrees

It is much harder to go down a rabbit hole when you have to read your way through it, but it is really easy when you just read Tweets and watch YouTube videos

what was the point of the celtics suspending him instead of firing him only for him to walk to the nets
Saving money. If they fired him, they still would have had to pay him. Now that someone else is going to employ him, the Celts are off the hook.

And, as someone else said, the C’s probably wanted to get a look at how the team looked under the interim guy before completely cutting ties with Ime.
