The Official NBA Season Thread: SFA Prevails

Don’t think it should be called yips. He def got injured on that right shoulder
Put whatever label you want on it, but there’s definitely a mental component to what Fultz’s has gone through. Lots of guys get hurt and it doesn’t cause them to look like a completely different player from prior to the injury.

Not nerve injuries which is what some people alluded too

I suppose a discussion is worth having how one decision/indecision can define a legacy of a GM or in this case a player.

Set up the Miami team and went to 4 straight finals and won 2 chips.

Chose to go to Cleveland and made the Love trade which ended up going to 4 straight finals and won a chip.

Went to LA, cashed in the kids for AD and they won a chip.

Not too shabby.

This is where the concept of replacement level is useful.

those are replacement level decisions.
a replacement level GM should be able to see the wisdom of acquiring AD, Bosh, Lebron.

What in the world?

That first clip, still with the hitch and yips. Then he won’t show himself shooting, and still obviously struggling with it. The weirdest **** ever man

So wild that he went from being a 41% 3pt shooter on 5 attempts a game in college to not even really be willing to shoot them in the league. Thought he was one of the surest things ever as a prospect. Really wish we had some sort of explanation for what happened.

Kudos to him for still sticking with the game and making himself a useful player though. He does pretty much everything else well.
