The Official NBA Season Thread: SFA Prevails

Is the Luka/Trae debate still a thing or naw?

If you allow it to be one. Yes.

If you don’t….. That ship sailed years ago.

His 4th quarters have been great which means he could be capitulating to his teammates the first 3.
Yea it’s clear Pop told the rest of em not to force/focus on Vic yet…It gotta be a method to the madness, but I’m thinking he wants to ease yo in as a rookie and let the rest of the squad get theirs for a lil while until it’s the Wemby show so no hard feelings

Also a function of no PG most of the game as well, the offense runs much better with Jones on the floor like last night in the 4th

Agreed.

I think it’s going to be an extremely long and meticulous process with Vic and Pop/Spurs.

They have no reason to rush things. That’s why I didn’t see him at over 28mpg and he’s at 27 right now.

Not sure why the tribal communities in California won't get in on this.

They could be making so much more money.
they tried
but the white man wants his too

"Prop 26, paid for by Indian tribes, would legalize sports betting only at tribal casinos and the state’s four private horse race tracks. It would also allow tribal casinos to begin offering roulette and dice games, including craps. And it would create a new pathway to enforce some gaming laws, via lawsuits. According to the Legislative Analyst’s Office, the proposition could generate as much as tens of millions annually for the state.

Prop 27, paid for by national gaming companies, would legalize mobile and online sports betting outside of Native American tribal lands. It would also create a new division at the state Department of Justice to regulate sports betting. The proposition could generate somewhere in the mid-hundreds of millions annually for the state, but likely not more than $500 million per year, according to estimates by the Legislative Analyst’s Office."

both did not pass in Nov 2022

Is this Luka hate because he was compared to Lebron once or twice?
Like his Wemby hate because Woj or someone said he's a better prospect than Lebron?
Or Steph hate because Lebron faced him in the Finals so many times.
Or Jokic hate because he was gonna go back-to-back-to-back MVPs which Lebron never did.

Need to know how WASHED KING WASHED KING feels about Mini-Lebron Eric Bledsoe? :nerd:

They definitely could do a better job at getting him the ball, but I never thought force feeding him was ever going to be an option on a Pop-coached team.

As far as iso-ing goes from top of key, he could definitely do it if he has a traditional Center guarding him, but it just doesn’t really look like it’ll lead to any kind of success with a normal forward on him. He’s not quick enough or strong enough yet to get by people.

He’s had a lot of success making quick moves when he gets the ball in the short corner. Could do the same thing at elbows.

The no point guard thing is the issue. Don’t even need a James harden type in there but why not just play Jones more

Johnson or sochan or Collins can be the 6th what’s the issue with that lol

A lot of things don't bother me but does anyone else have a problem with these leagues encouraging the pervasiveness of gambling culture? No problem with gambling but the commercial appeal of it seems weird to me.
They been amping it up this year lmao

Marketing is crazy make it seem like it’s as normal as buying tickets to the game

My only criticism of Luka is that he needs to be held to the same superstar standards as every other superstar he gets grouped with.

For some odd reason being fair and consistent is deemed as hate?

Collins or Sochan should sit depending on the matchup….Collins plays with Wemby against teams with size and Sochan for small ball lineups

The closing lineup vs PHX had Sochan and Jones in with no issues

the spurs are doing right by Vic. This is why aI never understood people that said he wouldn’t want to be in San Antonio. But seems like that was his preference - with good reason
